|
|
I just bought Pump It Up: Exceed for Xbox because the game is backwards-compatible for the Xbox 360. However, the pad that came with the game only plays on the Xbox so I'm left with using the Xbox 360 controller to play my favorite songs I'd love to dance to. Is there any way of me being able to play this game because I just called Microsoft Techincal Support and they said there was no accessory for PIU at the moment.
I really wanna play this on my Xbox 360. I'd appreciate it heavily if someone were to help me be able to play it with a pad. Thanks.
EDIT: Sorry if anyone clicked on this thinking there was going to be a PIU for the Xbox 360. _________________

Buy an Xbox? They're like 80$ or less on craigslist.
360 isn't really backwards compatible like it should be. |

I know Xbox can play this, but I want to play this on my Xbox 360. Is it possible, or not? If not, then I will have to settle for an Xbox.
What about using the DDR Universe pad with PIU on 360? Just as PIU uses A, B, Y, X, and Start, DDR uses those except for different arrows. Couldn't I just tilt a DDR Universe pad 45 degrees to the right and use the start button as the middle button? _________________

get the PS2 version. it has more songs and (if you dont have PS2), ps2 is worth getting.
and way to get my hopes up for PIU 360 mix. _________________

I already have a PS2 and while I do want the PS2 version there's one feature on the Xbox version that's calling my name: Edit Mode. With it, I can upload any song onto my hard drive, add arrows to it, and dance to it. I am intrigued by the possibility and that's why I really want my dance pad to work on the 360.
So, it looks like I'll have to be getting an Xbox then. About that: if I signed up for Xbox Live Silver on Xbox 360, will that carry over to Xbox or would I basically have to get Xbox Live Gold to download Edit Mode? _________________

You could always build a homepad and just use a 360 controller as your control box. _________________

Maybe contact Mastiff and ask if they plan to make a version that's 360 compatible? Highly unlikely, but there's also the chance that an update comes along to make the regular pad compatible, but don't hold your breath.
Mastiff really dropped the ball on the XB version. I got it because I heard we were getting downloadable tracks, yet in the end, I didn't get that, and the PS2 version got Canon-D.
Also, seconded on getting my hopes up about a 360 version. NX @ console = 360 bought. _________________

Since X-BOX controllers are simply USB devices with fat plugs, will the Korean Pump It Up EXCEED USB pad or any Pump It Up USB pad work with this game on the X-BOX 360? _________________

On a side topic, I downloaded the Step Editor for PIU. According to the manual, I can upload songs from my hard drive and add arrows to them (the reason why I got this version instead of the PS2 version) but I can't figure it out! How do I add my own songs in the Step Editor? I can only modify the songs in the BANYA, POP, and K-POP channels. I've messed with everything imaginable and I can't figure out how to upload custom soundtracks.
I bought this version in order to dance to my own music (I make music for www.vgmix.com) and I won't keep it if I can't even do that. _________________

360's only accept "official microsoft licensed products" controller wise, not just any old usb.
if you felt like buying a 360 controller and scrapping it, you could maybe wire your pad up to it and it should work. |
