I have been playing stepmania for a year with my keyboard, i would really like to play with a dance mat does anyone recomend were i can find one thanx. Oh!!! I bought DDR Universe can i use the USB mat that came along with it.

I don't know anything about Universe's USB mat, but it should work, theoretically. Plug it into a USB slot and configure the buttons in SM, then go into "Test input" and make sure everything works okay. Check to see that it can press L+R and U+D at the same time. But if it works on Universe, chances are it'll work on SM.

The best bet is to use ps2 mats that you can get at any game store that sells ps2 games.

Buy the adapter from buynshop.com, or whatever else stepmania.com reccomends to convert.

Eventually, know that you will succumb and get a cobalt flux, so might as well be planning to get shipping now.
