Don't you hate it when you mentally can do songs on expert mode, but when you're on the dance pad, your legs can't move around that fast!!! That's the reason I do a lot of expert songs on the controller. Also - I love DDR Extreme JP - I just got it in the mail!

Definitely more of a gameplay topic, anyway-

I get what you mean. I have a problem like that. In StepMania I can * 11's and 12's no problem, but on my feet, I'm having trouble with streams (Utopia, Pandy, Delirium etc.). I guess you can say my feet cant keep up with my mind. Plus my PA/FA is so much better on a keyboard/controller.

When I get up on the dance pad, I'm not "truly" showing what I can mentally do. Anyway - don't you guys think DDR Extreme JP is the best DDR ever!!!???

...if you didn't have to mod you ps2, it'd be the best. disgust.gif

i know what you mean. i can easily AA all of the 10's (minus FELM 'cause i suck at jumps)on a controller/sm. but i can only A or B 8's and 9's on the Pad (i've passed only the 3 easiest 10's) This is perfectly normal and can be helped by limiting your controller play.

i can mentally do Pandemonium expert (SM), but i've only A'd Pandy Medium. blink.gif

I know I'm a DDR freak for doing this, but I actually bought a Japanese PS2 (didn't feel like opening up my PS2 and installing a fliptop for Swap Magic) just to play DDR Extreme JP. And boy, was it worth it!!! Anyway - the only trouble I'm having with it is when it says something about your memory card in Japanese, and nothing ever saves when I unlock songs!!! I already tried DDR Freak's FAQ for that game, but that's only if you're using "Swap Magic", and it doesn't present you with the message that it says it will in this website.

You totally just managed to hijack your own thread into the OMFG Extreme JP Fanboy thread. 'Grats.

BTW, make sure you're using circle instead of X at the memory card screen. That fucked me over at first when I got it. Those crazy Japs. biggrin.gif

No one "truly" shows what they can do mentally. If I could, I would be able to quad star Speedcore Dandy.

What I meant was that I can only "truly" show my eye/hand coordination on the controller.

No one can really do that. I can do incredibly difficult keyboard charts on keyboard but its impossible for ANYONE to do that on foot. And I'm not talking BMR stuff, I mean really stupid-hard stuff.

Your feet will never be at the same level as your hands. Your PA might be equal with both, but it all comes down to songs being physically impossible on foot.

This might be off topic, but I seriously think I might be the best one-handed stepmania player ever.

I can move my legs fast enough, I just get tired out and fail.
I can pass any real ITG 10-13 on Stepmania.

I dont think I could beat that score on that song, unless I whored it about 500 times. I do have a **** on vertex expert. I also ****'d vertex^2 on hard and 96'd it on expert. My best score is a 93 on Boss machine by DM Ashura.

I consider myself to be a decent one-hander. I can pass many KB charts, almost AA'd Vertex^2, and in a fit of luck AAAAA'd A Standard. (Ridiculous timing ftw)
