well, i just noticed that after playing itg for a whole night, underneath my toe nail is a big red/purple/blue thing that looks sorta like a blood clot or a bruise. It started hurting my when i was playing ITG. Does things like this happen to anyone else? thanks |

Most likely. I frequently get blisters on my feet after playing for awhile.
You could try playing flatfooted. It'd probably reduce the damage done to your toes. _________________

I got that 2 years ago after kicking a soccer ball really hard with my toe. Its still there, but it kind of "faded" away over time. I also had a wart, but that was removed. Damn DDR/ITG. |

I've gotten sore toes before, but never, not even after 6-7 hour sessions with all 9's and 10's, has this ever happened to me. |

Maybe it comes with age?
But who am I to speak? (I'm 15) |

if you are playing barefooted ,just socks,or with uncomfotable cheap shoes, you will most likey injure your feet. i mean i have been DDRing for years and nothing bad happens to my feet.so it should not happen to you either.

Underneath your toe nail? Hmm....I've had the same thing. I never thought of it having to do with DDR. _________________

Yes, some people do. It would be easier for you to flat foot though. It saves energy. _________________

I've been playing 6 years. I haven't experienced a problem with my toes, but it has taken a toll on my knees. Maybe I stomped the cartilage away... |

Hmm, the only thing dance games have done to my toes is given me some rough callouses on the sides of the big toes. I play about the same way you do, though I've been trying to switch to flatfooted. What kind of shoes do you normally wear when playing? My DDR shoes are whatever my casual shoes are at the moment, which are usually running shoes, basketball shoes, or cross trainers and I've never had a problem. |

A month and a half ago, I stubbed my big toe on the inside of my shoe while doing the run at the beginning of Destiny Expert. I still have a dark blood clot under my big toenail. _________________

On my big toes on both feet, the toe nails fell off from playing DDR. It was from when my foot was hitting my shoe when playing a lot in the arcade over the summer. It took a while but they grew back. |

Playing flatfooted is easier said than done. I am a DDR two year veteran and still cant play flat footed.
Anyway, I have been playing on my toes my entire life and they have never gotten sore. The worst thing thatg happened was my calves locked up after playing ITG2 on my toes for two hours straight. _________________

I transitioned to playing flat footed in one night despite having played on my toes for four years. IMO, switching to flat footing is far easier than many people think it is. _________________

I'm taking your word for it. So I'm gonna dedicate an entire day playing flatfooted just so I can learn. I'm fine with toe playing but I need to save my energy. |
