My currently 366.6 pound roommate is beginning a DDR diet. We are going to blog the entire thing to see how long it takes to drop 150+. If you have tried something similar, or are considering doing something like this, please drop by the journal for words of encouragement or to give helpful hints.

My knowledge on this subject.
One pound = rougly 3500-4000 Calories.
To successfully lose weight, he has to eat a normal amount of foods(Fat content, sugar, protein. .. all in check)
I suggest referring to the nutrition facts and keeping to the 2000 Calorie diet.
Also, as long as he's eating 2000 calroies and burning a subtantial amount of it with ddr, he should be fine.
When I say substantial amount, i mean about 400-500. If we say he burns about that much a day, while still eating 2000, he can drop 1 pound a week.
52 weeks in a year... so rougly 3 years to lose 155. Which isnt bad at all. |

Good news for OP: More obese people tend to lose weight more quickly in the first stages of a diet, especially one that includes a lot of exercise, such as a DDR diet. So, I would certainly expect much more than 1 pound a week in the first few weeks. |
