Okay, here's the deal.
I'm moving to Bangkok, Thailand on August 25th.
My 2-3-year-old Ignition 2.0 has the wire that connects the pad and the PS2 frayed next to the control box to the point of seeing the bronze and silver underneath, the up arrow sticks frequently, there's a panel-size tear on the inside of the pad itself between the foam (which is undamaged) and the inside wiring of the up arrow (go figure).
Recently it's gotten worn enough to be unusable due to the constant ghost-presses of the up arrow. Thus, I asked my father over Skype if I would be able to obtain a new pad easily in Bangkok, and he said "no, you had better get one there".
1. The Ignition 3.0 apparently sucks.
2. Mother's not willing to spend for a metal pad (or lug it to Thailand).
What am I supposed to do? I've got 11 days.... _________________

Yeah, the shipping costs would be a hassle.
Couldn't you buy one online when you got to Bangkok? You seem to have a hell of a lot of money. |

Then...lug it with you onto the plane? The 2 of them should be under 50 pounds so you should be able to just pick em up when you arrive... |
