Disconnected ~Trance~

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to put this in, but since this is ITG related, then I suppose so. Here is my own Disconnected remix I put together. It has a hard-synth trance style to it along with the Disconnected sounds and new phone messages included. I will be making a simfile of it soon. Post your comments here.

Wow, I think this is really good. I really the trance sounds in the backround. I also like the small section where it goes all trance with no phone sounds. This is now tied with Hyper as my favorite Disconnected song. I give it an 8.75/10.

I also rather enjoyed that. The trance feeling goes nicely with the Disconnected voices. But, a little bit before the middle, that one saying gets a little repetitive. I give it a 9/10

I like. The "The number you have reached" line gets pretty repetitive, but it's trance, that's part of it. I'd personally LOVE to see some amazing stepcharts for this song, or even in an ITG game, but then again I adore most things trance. I will say it'd be nice if there was a more complete climax of the song somewhere near the end, but other than that I definitely enjoyed this remix of Disconnected.

OMG, does that disconnected lady really say "please make a note of it", that's hilarious!!!! Overall, pretty good mix; pretty slow for a disconnected, I'm guessing around 160 BPM? Also, no offense, but I can't see a good stepchart for this, but I'll have to wait and see.

It's actually 148 BPM, commonplace for a hard trance song. I should have the stepcharts done in a few days. Expert is going to be rather hard. The graphics will be the tricky part, though.

Not really, I just wanted to say that. Not half bad, a little slow for me, but no big. Better than I expected at least

Anyways, I'm going to make a VerTex Underground mix, and it will actually be musical and not be gay with it's tempo.

I'm thinking around a 155BPM VerTex song (Translates to 310 in the world of ZiGZaG)

But yeah, fan mixes are always fun.

The simfile is not going to be that long; it will be a 1:45 edit just like standard ITG2 and ITG3 songs. I made the Expert steps and it is a 12. Pretty evil stepchart because it is like a mixture of Bloodrush and Energizer step styles, including long crossover 16th streams and candle steps.

And 96 kbps in .wma format=128 kbps in .mp3 format.

Hmm... I've never heard that before. I know wmas cut off all the high inaudible frequencies to save space. Could that have something to do with it?

Also, where can I hear your other music? I'm extremely impressed with the professionality of the song, and can't imagine you having much difficulty being a producer for a living with that kind of ability. My only complaint is that it doesn't sound like a full length song, because it starts so suddenly without an intro. ...and the song is very progressive yet it's so short. Great job anyway. So show us what else you've made.

I'm trying to make the bg/banner for the simfile, but I don't know how to make transparent backgrounds in Paint mode. I also need to find out the name of the text type used to create the "Disconnected" text. Help would be appreciated. I'm thinking about using a cellular phone in the background. BTW, the Hard and Expert stepcharts (9/12) have been completed and Hard is no easy 9 at all.

If your name is any indication, I imagine the hands used in the 12 footer are something to fear, hehe. For transparency, I typically use Photoshop CS2 and lower the opacity to 40% or so. Gimp, the free program that basically simulates Photoshop, may also have the function, so you could try that.

I haven't worked on it yesterday since I was out of town, but I plan to finish up the Singles steps today. No, Expert does not have a bunch of handplants; just a few of them. It has a lot of stream as mentioned earlier. And where do I download Gimp and how do I install it?
