I've heard that the best foam pad for DDR is the Konami one, but they're hard to find. Is there any chance that Konami will ever start making them again? |

Probably not, but you might want to try the BNSUSA DX-Xtreme pads at www.buynshop.com |

I might get one in the future, if I need it. I was just wondering if they were gonna make them again. I won't need that softpad right away, as I'm saving for a CF, and once I have one, any softpad wouldn't be of any use to me. |

Screw foam pads, Konami needs to make an ASC with a bar for $2500. But seriously, hasn't Konami given up on DDR? *Points to latest games*
Edit: Nevermind. ROXOR needs to make an ASC with a bar _________________

Yeah if they made pads as good as the ITG2 dedicabs(or better), I would cry. And then save up for like a year untill I could buy one. _________________

Konami pads are generally only available as bundles with PS2 titles. Go find a DDR Ex2 bundle if you really like that pad or wait for Supernova's bundle. I still have my konami foam pad that I got with DDR Ex2. its framed with 1/4" lexan tiles on top and 3/4" MDF. Best home pad Ive ever touched. If you dont want a cheap TX pad you may or may not have to fix often, get a konami softpad and do that mod.

http://silentaftermath.com/justin/newpadscreens how well it works
and yes, you can use shoes, no it doesnt have a bar and I dont think its wise to play ITG wit hit because 1/4" is pretty rough for knees/hands. |

i didn't know konami made foam pads. but anyway konami does make notoriously long-lasting soft pads. been mainly doing heavy for the past few months with still nothing wrong with them. but yeah as one person already mentioned BNS does have some nice foam pads if your looking to get something that's second-best (compared to konami, although i've never experienced playing on a konami foam pad before). |

Yeah. If they could take the insides of an ITG arcade pad and put them in something smaller and for PS2, I would buy it. I could just imagine how awesome it would be. |

No smaller I'd pay thousands for a PS2 ITG2 doubles stage _________________

Then why don't you? With the right amount of modding, anything's possible. That's how I turned one of my dad's stereo components into a smoke bomb (c'mon, I was little). |

Hm, I can tell by the construction of the foam that it'd be good. I want Konami to start making those again, I'd buy it even though I'm probably going to order a CF later tonight, I'd get one anyway. Y'know, to take to friend's houses and stuff |

i'd buy it because it looks like its the konami soft pad with raised arcade-sized sensors and foam in it. The konami soft pad is a fine piece of...dance pad materials...and if they released that deluxe version here, it'd probably be the best not metal pad ever.
of course, its not nearly as attractive as my pad thats currently being shipped.

It never came with a bundle. I've had three of the things up to date. I *might* be willing to part with my last one for the right price. They are pretty rare _________________
