why didnt konami ever put cd tiltes in the american home versions of ddr?

Do you mean CD-Titles as in The Discs that had the Artist and Song on them on the Song Selection screen? If that's they case, they did on the early japanese mixes.

Cd Titles are those logos that appear in the upper-right corner of the graphic.

I don't think that many people would even care if they had those in the corners. I don't really care but I like it in DDR Extreme Japan. It does kind of give it the arcade touch.

They didn't do it because A) The early mixes were never released here (officially) and B) No one would know what Dancemania/Beatmania/Beatmania IIDX/Pop'n Music/etc was.
