Okay. I just hooked up my CF to a PSX to USB adapter. It worked... but the problem is, when I hold a directional button (mapped), Stepmania thinks that I am pressing that button many times fast. So instead of it registering once, It registers many times until I take my foot off the button. I don't know what is wrong with it. It works fine with my PS2 analog controller... Can someone tell me what's wrong and give me a solution to fix it?

EDIT: The start and select buttons have this reaction too so it's not the control box. Also, when I tested it in my control panel (Gaming options) it did the same exact thing. To all of the buttons. frown.gif

Reformat your computer.

Try another adapter? Maybe yours is faulty somehow.

Could you give me a link to an adapter that is guarenteed to work with a Cobalt Flux? I don't want to order another adapter, only to find out it doesn't work.

There's this thing called Google that really works. However, I'll help you because the URL is nine letters long (not including the www and com) and takes one click to find the correct page.

Yes, it's really what you meant. Look on the page. It's like the first or second adapter.

Actually, you don't need a new adapter

Hold the start and select buttons down on your control box of the CF, while holding the up arrow down. Do that for about three to five seconds, and it should change the mapping on the converter from axis, to button forum.

You've been here since 2003 and you still don't know how to get by the filters?

And there is a difference between helping someone and telling someone to stop being lazy.

Here's the adapter that I use:

http://www.redoctane.com/universaladapter.html

Works great with StepMania and its latency is low enough to play IIDX sims without a problem.

Stop being lazy? If he would have asked what the URL for StepMania's site was then that would be laziness.

But no, he asked for a recommendation on what adapter to use; there wasn't any reason to be a dick about it.

Google really helps when you want to search for a PS2 to USB adapter.

You didn't read my post at all.

He asked for a recommendation. Yes, the StepMania adapter list is a good response, but the asshole-ish attitude was completely unnecessary in this case.

No, thats not the problem.... That code worked, but the buttons kept registering at a rapid pace. I just ordered a different adapter. It's already shipped. I'm hoping it comes tomorrow. E1.gif
