I was wondering, does anyone's BF/GF play? If so,how do they stack up to you? Mine (as of recent) plays very well. Her note reading ability isn't as good as mine, but her PA ownz mine.
So discuss. _________________

I'm gonna call him my worser half.
And he doesn't take a slight interest in anything I do, so nah he won't play DDR. _________________

My GF played long before I started playing, actually. The first time I met her was in the arcade... _________________

Am I one of the only suckers who is single here?
If I did have a g/f, though, I wouldn't mind in the least bit if either she didn't play, or our skill levels were different. I'd want her to at least try once, though. |

My ex-girlfriend still does play, but she's only getting B's and C's on standard (even though she prolably doesn't care). _________________

My wife and I got hooked on DDR on the same day I did; in fact I was going by an arcade in a movie theatre and saw DDR Extreme and saw a person playing then figured to get my wife to try it. She was hooked from the first song. Then I learned that ExUS was going to come out in a couple months for PS2 so we bought a TV, PS2, and ordered the bundle.
We both still play, not as much as we'd like but that's because Mr Crawls (8.5 month old son) is crawling everywhere now and requires constant supervision.
CCR I have just started clearing a couple 10's. DDR I'm now an 8 footer.
CCR She is a 6 footer. But DDR, she AA's 6 footers with 20 greats or less. And yet hasn't bothered with trying 7's and up. She has her favourites in Std and is happy right now until she AAA's one then I'm willing to bet she'll move up. I'm sure that with a bit of practice she could do 8's as well and own my B's and low A's, considering her std AA's involve V, Speed Over Beethoven, Kakumei, R&P, Daikenkai, Captain Jack, Butterfly Upswing, Cartoon Heroes, and BB$KOG.
Her PA owns mine all the time, from the first day, to now, even with an 8-10 hiatus on her part due to dr's orders when she was pregnant with a risky pregnancy. She still played the occasional song but quite rarely.
Recently our pad died though so we're considering options at the moment. _________________

My boyfriend doesn't play as much as he used to, but we were pretty evenly matched. Hell, he could probably still out-PA me. _________________

I know what you mean,on easier songs, she beats the crap out of me.She consistantly AAA's butterfly (the new speedy mix),but I can only AA.However,I love playing an ITG 11 and showing off for her. _________________

Trust me. You are not the only one here who is single. I happen to be single, too -- and have been pretty much all my life -- and not only that, it has been a long time now since I last played. To be honest, if I had a girlfriend now and she either didn't play or was on a different skill level than me, I don't know how I'd react. |

Yeah my guy plays, but he'll only play songs he feels are his "era" which is basically any 80s licensed tracks plus "Heaven is a 57" (he can A that on Standard). Seriously that's all he's ever tried. So that's the reason why he's not as good as me, because he won't branch out. Also he has bad knees so can't play too much whereas I play every day for at least an hour.
He wants to ddr-shark his 16 year old daughter who thinks he doesn't know what ddr is, because he didn't last time we were in the arcades with her. I told him he needs to play more than Heaven is a 57 because that's likely not on the arcade game, or at least she may pick a different song.
Some people won't be told!! _________________

i can't get my b/f on an arcade machine, i think he has a bit of stage fright, but he'll watch me play and think it's entertaining. and really, that support means just as much to me as if he played himself
can't really make him play at home because i live upstairs so it's harder for me to play ddr at home lately. _________________
