We know that whatever licensed song that gets in DDR, it'll get edited. But I've heard of songs that had to be edited, like Injection of Love, which had the lyrics removed, which are right here.
Some other songs I've notice were edited:
After The Game Of Love: had no lyrics & was called After The Game on Konamix, then put back on newer mixes.
The Earth Light: used to have that girlish pleasure sound. & Yet, we have Insertion....
The Whistle Song: Only thing that was changed was the subtitle when bringing it to PS2, when it was changed to "baby" instead of "female dog", due to Konami thinking such exposure to such words can damage young minds....Gee, how thoughful
I say keep the originals. I wanna hear the real thing. Ya had a E10+ rating on Ex2. You can do it again! |

Injection of Love has the word TRUCK ME--I'm sorry, I mean "fuck". I'm sure that'll pass in an E10 game.
The Whistle Song was just that: a subtitle change for the name of the song. The song in DDRMAX2 US is the exact same cut in DDRMAX2 JP CS/AC.
Injection of Love was edited in DDR STR!KE to replace the Japanese vocals with English ones, with changed lyrics. It's probably teen fare but the vocalist simply falls short of the way Sana sung the song.
And I believe Ultramix 1 has the unedited versions of The Earth Light and ATGoL. |

After the Game of Love is unedited in new mixes now, like you said.
BUT, you're wrong about The Earth Light! I quote CyricZ:
CyricZ wrote: | In the original version, there were some orgasmic female voices over the track. That didn't sit well with Konami of America at the time, so they decided to remove them for Konamix, and it wasn't changed back for Ultramix. |

and why is that such a big deal? i'm personally impressed that Konami even had the song at all on the game. and I can perfectly understand why they wouldn't want a song titled "Blow My Whistle Bitch" on what could be considered a family game. _________________

To be honest, I'm glad Konami got away w/ the Whistle Song.
I've read that Telephone Operator was edited, but I think that's a licensed song, right? |

Play ITG for a while, especially the songs Touch Me, Lemmings on the Run, and then Charlene. Do you know what you'll notice if you do that? You'll notice that
Missing Heart and E-Rotic = same horny people with 2 different names. _________________

Also, Gentle Stress in Max US was changed from AMD Sexual Mix to AMD Sensual Mix, and it think it's really funny that Ex US has an unedited song with "f*ck" in it (Highs Off U), but they'd take out some moaning sounds. Konami's known for stupid edits for American releases outside of DDR. _________________

heh, Konami SWEARS it's "buggin you up", but I think they are full of it. There is no way in hell she's saying "buggin you up". Seriously, just listen to it. And it's also funny how all lyrics sites have "f*cking you up" as the lyrics, except for any site related to DDR. Who the hell says "buggin you up" anyway? Oh and lets not forget "whos the baddest b*tch on this side of town", although nobody seems to notice that one, just the f bomb.
And here are the full lyrics, a non-DDR related site: http://www.thelyricssite.com/song/4+Reeel/Highs+Off+U
notice that there are plenty of swears in the song, so there's no reason she wouldn't say "f*ck" or "b*itch".
Heh, doesn't matter, I'm proud of Konami for that one anyway. I think it's pretty funny since they certainly got away with it. _________________

"damn" isn't exactly considered a profanity... "damn"s are fine in E-rated games. _________________

That's amazing. I never knew the song said the f-word twice, and both in the duration of five seconds. The rest of the song doesn't really matter though. _________________

In all honesty, the subtitle in the DDRMAX2 US version is the CORRECT subtitle for that version of the song.
The original song (subtitled "Blow My Whistle Bitch"), had him actually saying "Blow My Whistle Bitch", instead of "Baby". The original version wasn't on DDR.
The RADIO EDIT (officially subtitled "Blow My Whistle Baby"), which was on DDRMAX2 JP and US, has him saying "Blow My Whistle Baby" in lieu of the more vulgar lyrics. Konami honestly just put the wrong subtitle on the song's DDRMAX2's AC and JP banner. It actually should have said "Blow My Whistle Baby" and not "Bitch". _________________

About the Highs Off U song, I could swear it was "Funkin You Up" which would explain why it sounds like f*ck*n you up. _________________
