The ones from 3rd Mix in particular; why are they so jump-laden? They just seem so out of place. |

Captain Jack songs also seem to have an unreasonable number of jumps. _________________

Be Lovin has a lot of jumps. But that isn't exactly the topic. I like korean songs, and I don't see why DDR has seemed to abandon them lateley. Like PIU I think has the best music out of all the major dance games, cause korean songs are just plain good. But maybe there are a lot of jumps in kpop songs because they just seem like they call for jumps. IDK, but when I listen to those songs I just hear... jumps. _________________

If I had to take a totally wild guess, I would think that maybe the steps for those songs were all made by the same person, and that person happened to like jumps. _________________

If I had to take a wild guess as well, perhaps, these kind of songs (Starian and the other songs both games share) have a lot of jumps in Pump It Up. Since Korean songs were introduced to attract PIU players to DDR, maybe Konami wanted to make the transition as comfortable as possible.
Or I could be completely wrong but I thought I remember reading something like that before. _________________
