Who or What is 'The Fly' ?

Probably a dumb question/locked thread but at the beginning of LoM the voice sounds like it says 'The Fly'. Just what is the meaning of this lyric? Is it some great DDR player? Is the voice really saying something else? Is it related to energy or fear? Enquiring minds would like to know, or at least I would

Hey, its just a word in a song that makes NO SENSE. Its just a creepy word inserted at a random spot, it means nothing.

The fly is a lyric misconception in the song The Legend of Max.

At the very start of the song, a deep (or scary?) voice says "let's ride!"

However, there was a thread about a year ago that convinced lots of gullible newbies into thinking it said "the fly".

Hmm... I've listened to this over and over and I definately don't hear "Let's ride". The "fl" sound in the beginning of the second word is definately distinguishable. Also I'm pretty sure the first word is "the", considering there's no "s" sound at the end of it. I hear "the fly", plus the lyrics on DWI tell me so

For what that's worth.

As for the original topic, no idea what it means. *shrugs*

I always heard The Fly as "Defy" not "Lets Ride" on LoM. Who cares, its more fun to say "THE FLY" anyway.

Heres what I hear the voices say in order: Defy, Energy, Victim, Victim, (THE) FEAR. Those are the most notable phrases/the easiest to hear.

it also has to do with a song called "THE HUMAN FORM" where it DOES say "thefly" in the exact same voice. coincidence i think not!

it definitely sounds like DEFY to me..... and that makes 10000x more sense then "the fly"

All the lyics in LoM are from another song, aptly titled "The FLY" by Deep Shadow (remembered the artist!).

k after reading the posts, i went into windows media player and opened LOM then i made it sound really tinny and then i put my ear up to my speaker and kept looping that first part and i think it says "The Fly"
