|
|
I am a hardcore DDR/ITG player. I have been playing ddr for years. I have played PIU once at the arcade a few yrs ago but i sucked at it. I kinda want to get into it now though. I plan on getting the PIU Exceed bundle for ps2. But do u guys think I will like the game if ive been playing ddr for ever? Im sure itll b hard 4 me but it looks really fun
And another thing. Should i save 20$ and get the bundle used or not
So tell me if u think i will like it or if u were in the same position as me and u got it!
Thanx |

There's already a Pump it Up thread. Also people usually frown on creating threads like this. _________________

I have to disagree with the last comment: while the Korean version is awesome(truly arcade perfect[excepting the banned songs], and no unlocking or censoring), the American version is even better in many ways.
It has Exceed 2 exclusive charts(like LiaDZ's new CZ/NM steps, Solitary's NM steps, Rap Act 3's CZ/NM, Hatred's CZ/NM, etc. etc.), and the six new songs just. plain. rule.
Anyway, if you like stepping games in general, yes, this is a must have. Unlocking requires a bit of patience though. _________________

I'm generally really annoyed with the Korean version mainly BECAUSE it's too close to the original arcade version of Exceed, for one BIG reason: the freeze bug.
If you don't know what I mean, trying S-ing Monkey Fingers CZ and Dignity CZ, even with a PS2 controller. You'll see phantom misses and bads like no other. _________________

The home version of PREX3 has that problem with some songs too... I don't understand why it happens... it just doesn't make sense how another song at the same BPM with similar long notes works fine.
Ok here you go :
Korean Version :
Pros :
-Nice pad
-No unlock system
-Almost exactly like the arcade verison minus a few songs
Cons :
-2 Players cannot play seperate difficulties
-Long note glitches
-Costs more!
American Version (PS2) :
Pros :
-Ability for 2 players to select seperate difficulties in Home mode
-Easy modifier menu in all modes except Arcade
-Overall better songlist
-Cool new modes
-Long note glitches are gone!
-Suppourt for USB pads
Cons :
-Crappy unlock system that takes ages to unlock things
-Generic pad made by Mad Catz
-Missing one Exceed song and a few older songs
-Not compatible with add on pads that plug into the USB pad.
American Version (Xbox) :
Pros :
-Ability for 2 players to select seperate difficulties in Home mode
-Easy modifier menu in all modes except Arcade
-Overall better songlist
-Cool new modes
-Long note glitches are gone!
-Ability to download new content from Xbox live in the future.
Cons :
-Crappy unlock system that takes ages to unlock things
-Unlock System is kind of messed up... or so I hear...
-Missing 4 songs that were on the PS2 version
-Generic pad made by Mad Catz
-Missing one Exceed song and a few older songs
-Since Xbox has no USB slots all old pads are incompatible with the game |
