|
|
Konami Digital Entertainment America has partnered with 24-Hour Fitness. DDR programs will be added to the gym's "Kids Club" and will incorporate DDR as promotions at the grand openings of new clubs.
Konami will be packaging free 30-day passes for 24 Hour Fitness inside bundle packs of DDR Extreme 2 for PS2 and DDR Ultramix 3 for the Xbox. The passes will be valid through the end of March 2006
24-Hour Fitness will be encouraging customers to use the machines, promoting the benefits to members and staff and demonstrating the DDR workout at club openings and special events. _________________

I have a membership to 24-hour fitness. Does this mean I will be seeing DDR machines at locations soon, or will I be seeing rigged-up PS2's in a small corner of an area in the club? _________________

wait, i'm confused, will they be using a home version, or an arcade machine? if it's arcade, i think it'll be lame, since it's being sponsored by Konami, it'll most likely be an american mix. That means only three mixes to choose from, all of which suck IMO _________________

Im wondering the same myself. Sadly, this will probably be the same type of setups that they started putting in mcdonalds. :< Since it said that these "machines" are going in the kids area and wouldnt u know it, the setups in mcdonalds were kid size. im not kidding. _________________

Better than nothing. I would love to start this at the school gym here. |

Hmm... This could potentially create legions of hardcore DDR Freaks, meaning more competitions, more prizes and more games! Sounds like good news all around. Will GoodLife follow suit? |

Did you say machines? What machines? (Easily excitable much?)
The DDR McDonalds setup was a small flatscreen, a PS2 with DDR MAX2, and a BNS metal pad (that is the correct size, of course.)
DDR Studio has wireless rubber pads, hands and stuff, and an instructors station. It's made for health clubs. I bet that's the machine. |
