First of all, the above songs are not Oni steps, but mixes of the original song. Oni songs are steps that is [supposedly] supposed to challenge the player with crazy step patterns (ex. Brilliant 2u ~orchestra groove~ oni) and insane amounts of arrows (ex. Paranoia Survivor MAX oni), and are classified with a purple foot (or dot if using Extreme US).
Some songs are made exclusively for ONI difficulty, examples include:
-Sexy Planet ~from Nonstop Megamix~
-Wild Rush ~from nonstop megamix~
-Kind Lady (interlude)
-Hysteria 2001, etc.

And some oni steps are added to songs with the Light, Standard and Heavy steps, like the following:
-A
-V(for extreme)
-Paranoia Survivor MAX
-Kakumei
-Sakura, etc.

So, in conclusion, you're talking about different mixes of songs and you have the definition of "ONI" mixed up.

I am inclined to agree with Max (above) but his question is unclear so there is an alternate meaning.

What songs before Max2 need their steps redone (i.e. get Oni steps)?

No, author is asking a silly poll thread. "Which songs could use Oni steps?" Uh, almost all of them.

not really.... oni steps are basically just alternate step patterns, they could be easier than the original heavy steps, or they could be harder. there really is no specific "point" to oni steps.

Wrong! The "point" of Oni step charts was that they used to only appear in Oni Mode. While the charts are easier to pass standalone, they were meant to be tricky to FC in the middle of an Oni course. However, now that Oni steps are no longer exclusive to the mode, many people believe that almost every song should have Oni steps of a higher difficulty (a la Colors, A, V, PSMO, and ITG's Expert difficulty).

what i meant by "point" was referring to the step chart specifically.... as in they dont have to have "crazy step patterns" or "insane amounts of arrows", in other words they dont have to have some sort of identifying gimmick to the steps. i'm not wrong.

Uh, let me tweak my statement a little bit then: ALL OF THEM. Sexy Planet FNM is just a remix. Any song can be open to a remix.

So the win goes to Synaesthesia. He is correct. But Mr. Thread Author, you're question is still not clear. Are you saying what songs COULD HAVE BEEN made specifically for ONI mode, or do you mean songs that WERE made for ONI mode?

I almost typed up a history of ONI mode, but I'm too lazy (by the way, why hasn't Konami been consistent with ONI/Nonstop/Challenge Mode throughout all the games. I mean, MAX 1= ONI mode, MAX 2= Nonstop Mode, Extreme=Challenge Mode, (i don't know what it was for the PSX genration offhand), and now Quest Mode in UM3. Oh well.

Reenee's already answered you, dufus, so pay attention this time:

ALL OF THE SONGS, RETARD. Any ddr song could be remixed/given an oni difficulty.

To the author (that doesn't know what he's saying):

If you really want Oni steps for select songs, MAKE AN EDIT.

And besides, there's an Oni thread in this forum, so you can discuss it there.

Requesting Lock please.
