So, I'm sitting here and I want to play PSM, but the closest extreme arcade version is 30 miles away, and I don't have a ps2 or a japanese version of extreme. So get this, i find a song on my ultramix 2 game that has similar BPM (MAX 300) and I just edit the steps so they are the same as PSM. Doesnt really go with the music, but it's good enough for practice.

Could've picked a 145 BPM song and played it on 2x. Then, the slowdowns would've matched, too. I'll bet this has been done n+1 times...

It works the same both ways, when I edited I just made the slow part twice as fast.

Except that 145 bpm you could have made the steps exactly the same speed as they are in PSM, wheras with Max 300 you end up with (very slightly) faster steps.

Also, unless you are talking about the remix (which I assume), or the Xbox allows you to play UM1 songs on UM2 (wouldn't know, but it seems unlikely), Max 300 is not on UM2.

It's a very popular Playstation magazine that features various gaming articles and reviews for games and hardware.

No, because if you're playing at 145 bpm it doesn't simulate the PSAM experience because the arrows move twice as slow. one of the biggest parts of getting good at a fast song is to practice reading fast arrows, so there.

max 300 is an unlockable song on UM2, it's unlocked after passing maxx unlimited on heavy.

^ That.

And the DDRFreak songlist shows the remix of Max 300 on UM2, not the original. Is this incorrect?
