|
|
i recently gutted a metal pad i had sitting around. and i decided im giong to turn it into a pump pad.... There is one thing i need to know, i need to know ALL of the solder points on a controller. i have been to many sites and they only have the arrows and the x button.
if someone could take a picture of the solder points telling me where to wire everthing to, that would be GREAT.
any help would be much appreciated _________________

Well, if you were using an actual Sony PlayStation controller as the control box, I could tell you, but I have no clue what kind of layout the board you're using has. Your best bet is to find the chip that all of the contacts run to and then find an EMS USB2, hook it up to your PC, and use the configuration utility to figure out which contacts map to which buttons (IE, take a scrap piece of wire, touch one end to the ground, touch the other to a contact point, and see which buttons highlights in the utility). Note that if when doing this all of the shoulder buttons do not highlight, then you won't be able to play the console versions unless you get a controller that supports them. |

DDR uses the buttons and individual directional arrows on the d-pad, whereas Pump it Up uses the R keys and O for the center panel, IIRC. This is just as a note.
There are people that have created controller boxes specifically for this. A great example of this would be for the Cobalt Flux, in which one person on these forums actually has a step-by-step instruction manual per se, on his site. Yeah, so check it out if you're interested. Perhaps, you can manipulate it to work for your DDR pad and just "remap" the directional arrows and all that by rewiring or something of the like. _________________
