StepmaniaX (Stepmania on Xbox)

Hey, i got StepmaniaX on Xbox. Just like stepmania. I found it on this website. I'm not sure if i am allowed to mention that site or not. So just to be safe. i cannot.

Well if you do have the game, i need help.

I used the same dwi/sm files from the PC. But for some reason it cannot load background movies. If i load a song with a movie then the xbox will restart to the EvoX Dashboard. If i load random songs with the resolution and the color-bit low. It will just display a black background when playing songs and doing steps. It can load the Animations, Characters.

Also in options, the Xbox freezes when i select "Appearance"

Also do you know what other versions of StepmaniaX there is.

It will be great if someone can share some light...

It cannot load background videos because stepmaniaX doesnt currently support that feature, it's under the release notes of the readme. It is likely because putting videos on it would make the whole thing run choppily (since my older Athlon XP runs sluggishly when i enable videos, i assume its mostly a hardware problem), so be awhile before we see video support if at all (IMO anyways). I'm not sure why it freezes in appearence, the only times mine freezes is when i load to many songs into one directory, someone else might know As far as I know theres two different version of stepmaniaX, but one is a lost cause and you;d have a great deal of difficultly finding it, if you could at all

Ok, thank you, BTW when you select your game mode (single, solo, double) and diffuculty, etc. Does it play the 6th Mix Select screen theme song or not. (Assuming you are using the default Theme's).

About the movies, oh well the advantage, big TV Screen, disadvantage, no personal movies or Jpop video clips while doing the songs which i was looking forward to seeing it on the TV.

Oh well, i still enjoy stepmaniaX...

Thanks for not linking it, as it is not legal. Well, not unless you're linking to source, but Xports doesn't publish source, so you'd have to be linking to binaries.
