In stepmania, I use the ITG theme and one of my songs comes up as a 16 on the meter. Is there a way to rate songs over 15 feet with edit mode? |

i think you can type it into the simfile... if you open it up in wordpad you should be able to change that number.
but as far as a i know the max setting for ITG stepmania is 15. |

You can put damn near any difficulty you like in the simfile & Stepmania won't care. Try it out by putting in a difficulty of 100. The on-screen results will depend on what theme you're using. Themes that show the difficulty numerically will go ahead & show 100 (which can cause some overlapping because they weren't designed for that many digits). Those that show a number of feet will often go ahead & spew more feet all over the screen, which is ugly but harmless. Some themes are capped on the number of bars they'll display. The ITG theme will only show a maximum of 12 bars (yes, 13's only have 12 bars on screen) though it'll show the true numerical rating no matter how high it is.
If you've only used Edit Mode and haven't edited any files by hand, don't worry, it's easy. Just open the DWI or SM file & look for the line that defines the difficulty mode & foot rating, and change it to what you want it to be. |
