It's hard unless you are an arcade operator, but you need to manipulate the machine popularity of the Love Shine and Sexy Planet Oni to be rank 1 and rank 5. Then, you use the Non-stop/Oni bug to trick the game into playing Love Shine with Sexy Planet's difficulty (oni) and you get the coolest JPOP steps ever.

Actually, you can do it with any oni-only song. There are also secret oni difficulties for Dam Dariram and Aoi Shoudou.

if you need a better explanation, search for it on the forums, but the gist of it is when you switch between courses in Nonstop or Oni, the song list will fold up and then fold back out. There is a small window where you can hit "start" after the song list for the first course folds up and before the second song list unfolds. If you do so, the difficulties of the first course will be superimposed on the second.

The most common use for this is to play Legend Road Jr, which is Legend Road played with Naoki Neostandard's difficulties (which I *beleive* is Max300 std, MaxX std, Sakura std, Legend hvy, PSM oni)

A fair warning: the bug has been known to be not safe. I believe that a couple guys from a mall an hour or two away from here got banned for doing the Oni bug and breaking the game.

Yeah, there is. However, like tac-tics said, it's not normally selectable and can only be played through manipulation of the Player's Best Nonstop.

Last Message = Most disappointing Oni steps. Ever.

Thank you for reading the thread.

Zukin, my arcade people suck so they won't let me try the oni glitch, but isn't Last Message like an orgy of left arrows or something?

It's the difficulty from Neo-Standard, so it's Max300 std, MaxX std, Sakura hvy, LOM hvy, PSM hvy. Also, as a side not, here we like to call it Legend Sidewalk. laugh.gif

I played Love Love shine oni and the steps are pretty cool. I was wondering if any other oni steps are worth playing?

Oh, and anyone has more detail about the oni glitch being bad for the machine?

Pretty much. The first arrows don't appear until about halfway into the song, where it throws a massive wad of arrow salad at you, then the rest of it is just a stream of constant left arrows.

They really can't stop you from doing it, and the worst it could do is crash the machine and then reboot it, it takes about 5 minutes.

damn, this sounds interesting... too bad I'm too much of a wimp to risk messing up the machine. I'm assuming the bios can't be reset like it can on a pc motherboard, correct?

You should be able to find the step chart for it in the charts section. If you have access to the song, edit the steps in, that's what I've done on my Extreme CS.
