Hello all I was wondering......if I wanted to start a DDR team, what would I have to do in order to get a team started? Besides asking ppl to join. Would I have to sign-up somewhere, what is the max number of ppl I can have, and what would our team be doing(if I had one)? |

Just play the game, and don't worry about useless things like teams. Seriously.

I don't think there's any legalities involved with forming a team, just get a bunch of people together and come up with a name for your group.

Real life is not the 10k commotion. A DDR team is not a big, serious thing. It's a group of friends who play DDR.
And what would your team be doing? Think about this question. Now think about it again. If you don't have your answer by now, feel ashamed. _________________

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

I just got invited to be on a team like a few days ago. It is just a group of friends and fellow DDR player that, well, play DDR. Teams basically just support each other at tournaments and stuff. Also, it brings out rivalry. |

I meant in tournaments actually..I should've been more specific. I figured that there would be team DDR tournaments or something like that. Well I was also wondering about if there were other kids of tournaments other than "freestyle" and "perfect attack" if I'am using the right lingo for the second one. |

I've been invited in a team once before too but I declined the offer because it was a random kid who saw that i could play maniac. Honestly, I'm not exactly the grandest pick in all of VS and on top of that, I didn't know him. Though on second thought, I would actually like to be in a ddr group. That way I can play ddr with people who actually have a serious interest in it like my friends used to have. I can't help you with that second question though since I haven't been in any tournaments with a team play round. And to the guy with the quip about 10k, go suck it. _________________

TEAM TOURNAMENTS DON'T EXIST ANYMORE.
No, teams are pretty much useless right now. Maybe back in the glory days, but as of now, unless you yourself set up a huge team-tourney that people will come to from across the country, teams aren't exactly popular. |
