I'm not exactly sure where this goes, so I'll just try here

Has anyone ever used a DDR pad for some other game thats not DDR (or DDR related games) for fun?

My brother once thought it would be fun trying to play Final Fantasy 10 with our cobalt flux. He would try to act out moves by hitting the X button on the pad and jump and do some random move. It looked funny E1.gif

I tried halo once. I forgot that you need triggers and black/white for that game.

Dance Calibur Revolution Extreme, baby.

It actually works really well with maxi. disturb.gif

However, I would like to see somebody pull off summon suffering with Ivy. I can do that easily with a controller, but give me a dance pad, and that is freaking sick. E13.gif

Heh, that would take a double hand plant, or fancy-double stepping at the end to pull off. laugh.gif

But seriously, it was fun playing like that, because you actually had access to all of the moves.

Me and my brother once squared off in Street Fighter Alpha 3, or something like that, I forget what.

All those half-circle and quarter-circle attacks became SO much easier.

Damn you guys, now I want to try playing games on the DDR pad.

Anyone up for Dance Dance Gradius V?

EDIT: Crap, nearly broke the X button on my pad by playing Gradius V on it.

I tried Street Fighter Alpha 3 with a pad. The pad I was using at the time only had the X and O buttons, though, so that left me with only one kick and one punch, and by default those were Jab and Short! o_O And I couldn't pull off a QCF to save my life on a pad. XD

I also tried Bust-A-Move/Groove on a pad. That actually worked rather well, except for the hardest combination which is like " down.gif left.gif right.gif up.gif right.gif O" or something like that, and I would always trip myself up trying to that in 4 beats and then hit the button.

Dance Dance Space Channel 5 would be a cool one to do with a DDR pad.

Dance Dance Gran Turismo is not. riiight.gif

I tried playing Amplitude on a pad. Hitting the notes isn't too hard, but trying to switch tracks and keep a combo going is.

I should try Space Channel 5 with a pad. I'm actually pretty bad at the game on the controller. Going up "Up Up Down Down Right Chu Chu!" might be easier on a dance pad!
