Some minutes after this is posted, I'll will trying to buy DrumMania online.
Is it a good game?
If so tell me.
Also, I'm planning to buy the drum set from www.lik-sang.com for $39; is it a good buy, or too good to be true?
Last, I'm buying the game from shop.store.yahoo.com along with the disc you're supposed to use when using import games.
Plz tell me what I'm supposed to do and if I'm doing everything right, or I'm supposed to do somethin else with it.

It is a pretty good game, based on my arcade experiences. Hitting a drum and stepping on the pedal at the same time and keeping a rhythm with them is tricky at first.
I am kind of a casual player on it though, so I am kind of sticking to beginner songs for now. But their is a chance I will play some arcade drummania later today, so I'll practice on it. I would have had more experience with the game if my old local arcade fixed up the game before they closed...
As for console versions, I don't have any nor do I have any interest in getting one. I rather play/practice drummania games at an arcade instead anyway. You'll have to wait for someone who owns them to give their opinion on them. But theres only a few home versions. |

It's an excellent game. It's REALLY tough to get started at first. Don't give in to the temptation to use Auto-Bass, because that will just hurt you in the long run. But once you get the hang of the basics, it's really one of the most fun Bemani games out there. And I would know, because I just got back from the arcade where I spent about 7 hours playing the game. Ha ha.
Keep in mind that the home versions only go up to 3rd Mix, though. But they're all excellent, despite 1st Mix being a bit small. And there are mixed reviews about the Topway controller from RO. The one I bought was great, and it was plenty responsive up until it finally kicked the bucket a few months ago. And some have said they've gotten controllers that barely even worked to begin with. I guess it's kind of hit-or-miss.

Good game? YES! ...but you probably know whether you'll like it or not.
I bought the Topway controller, and it worked great. I loved the game so much, I just bought a Pacific Digital USB drumset, to use with DTXmania. So the Topway was kind of a waste because I only used it for a week and a half, but on the other hand, I didn't know how much I'd like the game.
Btw, Bafo or Pacific Digital drums only cost about $100, although you'll have to find them on ebay because they're not being made anymore. Also, they don't work with PS2, it seems. _________________
