I got an AAAA on Max 300, and 15 miss/rest Marvelous on Maxx Unlimited. Upon further investigation, someone set my stepmania.ini file to have a Marvelous timing window of 9 SECONDS!!!!!! I'm going to kill my cousin; he's the only one who ever uses SM on this desktop besides me.

Do a clean reinstall (uninstall, delete everything in /Stepmania/ [save your songs only], then reinstall). It'll autofix.

Yeah, I changed it back. But I'm just pissed that you can even change stuff like that. I know that technically, you can change anything you want. I just wish it was a bit harder to get into.

Why?! Don't most people prefer having arcade timing, rather than the SM defaults? If the timing windows were hardcoded someplace inside the programming code, I'd be pretty pissed.

I can't comprehend how that would even work! How will SM know what step you are stepping on since there are more than likely at least 5 instances of that particular arrow in the stepchart over a period of 9 seconds?
