|
|
I was going about my business letting the game run its random demos as i cleand my room, and I swear one of the songs is a real slow version of the Russian National anthem, but I have yet to unlock it. Anyone know what the name of this song is and how many plays does it take to unlock it?
Thanks for your help

Wow, I must be the only person on DDRFreak who likes Go West!
Regardless, the Russian Anthem is nowhere on Extreme. Especially not in a "slowed-down" version; seeing as the Russian Anthem is already pretty slow. |

If you got a copy of the anthem, I'll be able to tell you since like N-V, I like Go West (not really the butchered version they put on DDR though). |

How can you not like Go West? It's Hilarious. I think it's actually meant to be terrible, but it's funny anyway. _________________

Despite where it may belong, here is the real Russian Anthem...
http://www.funet.fi/pub/culture/russian/lyrics/political/SovNatlAnthem.wav
Words to sing along!!
The Hymn of the Soviet Union
Unbreakable Union of freeborn Republics,
Great Russia has welded forever to stand.
Created in struggle by will of the people,
United and mighty, our Soviet land!
Sing to the Motherland, home of the free,
Bulwark of peoples in brotherhood strong.
O Party of Lenin, the strength of the people,
To Communism's triumph lead us on!
Through tempests the sunrays of freedom have cheered us,
Along the new path where great Lenin did lead.
To a righteous cause he raised up the peoples,
Inspired them to labor and valorous deed.
[Or, the old way:
Be true to the people, thus Stalin has reared us,
Inspire us to labor and valorous deed!]
Sing to the Motherland, home of the free,
Bulwark of peoples in brotherhood strong.
O Party of Lenin, the strength of the people,
To Communism's triumph lead us on!
In the vict'ry of Communism's deathless ideal,
We see the future of our dear land.
And to her fluttering scarlet banner,
Selflessly true we always shall stand! _________________

Yeah, after listening to that, I can see where you set confused. It's a similar opening, but the melodies are different. _________________

The "Soviet Union" was during the time it was under communist rule. Best times were during the 80's when the Berlin Wall was torn down, and then in '90 when the "Iron Curtain" was lifted to allow free exchange of information/ideas again with the outside world.
Russia (The Former Soviet Union) is where you find Russians. Kindly folk, interest language, great love of Vodka, and where else can you learn best about Grigory Efimovich Rasputin?
Also, from what the website told me, this anthem was made during communist rule.. and then later revised.

The current Russian anthem, as far as I know, is the song you posted, but with the lyrics stricken out. I think they were going to put revised lyrics in though (without reference to Communism or Lenin). |
