what is so hard about So Deep?

So Deep heavy isnt hard at all, its a big pattern. in the beginning its the same thing like 5-8 times. then the same thing but a different pattern for 5-8 times etc...the patterns are pretty much all gallops too. The ending might be a bit troublesome but just pop in ddrmax2 and slow the song down, with handclap.

Nothing is hard about it. There are just five hundred steps and a whole lot of gallops, so it's a bit hard to AAA. Otherwise, not hard at all.

Stamina issues, I presume. That's probably the only thing against the player.

So Deep isn't hard at all, just play it on 2x and on flat. It's that easy

Its hard if you don't have the stamina or if you can't do the gallops. In addition this song requires a different kind of stamina too - leg stamina. I know about a third of the way into the song my legs get weird and then around the halfway point they stiffen up and don't want to move anymore...

I really can't see why it is such a stamina issue. I see other people play it all funny and they seem to try WAY too hard. I just kinda flow around the pad effortlessly and I have no problems. I think it just got too big of a reputation that it freaks people out.

It's a 9 because:

1. If you're new into the 9 foot range, the song is an energy drainer.
2. Slightly difficult to sight read if you're not used to it.
3. PA like Kiba said.

It's not hard, but if you're a noob and you are just moving up to heavy and you see that song on 1x, it's extremely intimidating.

I avoid So Deep like the plague.

Don't want to waste my money failing the song because, even though the beat is easy to pick up, those gallops are friggin' tough. I have trouble doing the gallops/half steps on R&P & Japan, so this So Deep is both of their steps with added evil, spiced with longevity and brought to a boil.

One of these days I'll get it though...

It's not hard at all. I mean, all it does is completely make your legs feel like jellow and then make them unable to move. whats hard about that?

like that other guy said, this song is different from others in that it is not so much cardio as it is muscular endurance. some people have a tendancy to gallop on their toes meaning this song takes alot more out of them leg wise. i dont think theres much more to say than that.

I think So Deep is also the 2nd longest song in the game at 1:42 (Kakumei is 1:52 I believe...but doesn't have nearly as many steps).

The Least 100 Seconds is 1:40 (ZOMG 100 SECONDS!!1!1!!1oneoneone) and 300 BPM so that is a harder 9. I think it has a comprable number of steps (though not as many).

It's when they toss in those extra 16th notes, that's when it gets tricky. If you notice, a lot of songs that have any 16th notes in them usually are 8-9 feet (10s go too fast for 16ths, except for bag, but we don't need to go there). And gallops are hard when you have to keep using different arrows.
