When i had a crappy computer, stepmania/dwi didnt work, so I had to settle for some other ddr sim line thing, called delight delight.. something. but anyway, the mix entiteld "1st mix" had a number of songs on it, that I havn't seen in ddr at all yet. the songs are
1. 20x
2. Apple juice
3. Stealth
4. 3am
5. Bust a groove

they were all pretty damn good songs. are they in any other benami game?

This is probably the theme song from Bust a Groove for Playstation.

What did 3am sound like? There's a matchbox 20 song titled that.

I cant actually explain it. but the songs I mentioned, as you pressed keys, they added sounds to the music, and as the song progressed, each arrow started making NEW sounds to fit the new section. Just type in "ddr" on kazaa/lite on the software part. and the description should say something like "original ddr game" or something.

edit: it wasnt the matchbox 20 one.
edit: Whoops, it was Bust a MOVE, not groove. sorry.

None of the songs that you listed are in DDR to my knowledge, or any other Bemani game that I know of.

However, I can explain why the arrows made different sounds as the song progressed. The sim you found, the full name of which is Delight Delight Reduplication AKA Delight^2, has two modes on it, actually: DDR mode and Beatmania mode. The songs you played were actually meant to be played in Beatmania mode. However, and I've done this myself, you can play DDR songs in Beatmania mode and vice versa because they're the same format file: .bms. The only thing is certain keys get ignored playing Beatmania songs in DDR mode, unless you play them on Solo mode which Delight^2 also has. If you've already played Beatmania before you can disregard the rest of this, but if you haven't, in Beatmania, you have 5 or 7 keys to press and a turntable to "scratch" for a total of 6 or 8 inputs total. You use the keys and turntable to play along with the music. Each keypress or turntable scratch plays a sound depending on where you are in the song.

2. Apple juice

AHAHA. Kick ass. One day I was Googling for random Beatmania simulation hits and I found an obscure simulator called "Note of Hysteria". It was a barely functional Beatmania clone that some college guy did for his homework. And it was a decent simulator for what he put into it.

100% Apple Juice was the name of the song that came bundled with the sim, and it was hard as hell. Since I haven't seen it anywhere else I'm assuming it was original.

So that solves the mystery of #2. Unfortunately, the others must be even more obscure. I think there was some Beatmania simulator, maybe even Delight Delight Reduplication, that had a built-in song for its Easter egg. Both 20x and Stealth sound familiar to me in that context.

I bet your non-stop is five songs taken from the first editions of five random music games.

Yeah, I forgot the guy's name, there are variants of Apple Juice for the BM sims:

Dense Apple Juice
25% Apple Juice
50% Apple Juice
75% Apple Juice
100% Apple Juice

Really great songs.
