i was serching for ddr stuff when i say a thing under search that said.... ddrmax 2 usa songlist... i was like... o crap!... so i went to it and my stupid internet/computer kicked me off and now i can not fins IT!!!! if any of u guys see somthing that says that please tell me what the hell it is!
and.... what is the date (so far) they said ddrmax2 usa will come out? |

i think in the next MAX2 USA the "Dancemania" licenses they might bring in will be their known songs that the americian people can be familar with...
-Let's Groove (remix of Earth, Wind, and Fire's song from the 70s)
-Living in America (James Brown's song of the same name, but sounds completly different)
-Somewhere Over the Rainbow (Wizard of Oz's song of the same name, but the trance part coming out after the title been said will throw anybody off who don't about this kind of song)
-Telephone Operator (song from the 80s)
-The Reflex (who hasn't heard of Duran Duran by now?)
-Twlight Zone/No Limit/Maximum Overdrive (has some cult hits in the US)
-A Minute/It Only Takes A Minute (Tavares' hit from 70s)
-Against All Odds (remix of Phil Collins' song)
and so on...
this way many USers will be more familar with the songlist.
but i know most of won't be met, all i'll say for now is to bring more of CAPTAIN JACK and maybe *crosses fingers* GHOSTS!!!
and at least we can honestly say "TSUGARU" will be in the next one, right?

At least it's tentative.
oh...I wish they put all of the E-rotic songs (short and long versions)
Maybe full-length versions of Dam Dariram, Lupin the 3rd '78, Mr. Wonderful, Dynamite Rave, Dream A Dream, and anything else.
Also, please put Starian (DUKE), Shock (Goofy) And Tell Me Tell Me (S#arp)in the DDRMAX2 US for once, please? I wanted those songs. |

If you look at all the wish lists for the next DDR game they consist of 99% DANCEMANIA liscenses! There is a reason for this... PEOPLE LIKE THEM!!!
PLEASE do not make another Konamix or DDRMAX US with a crapload of KO songs (and not even the good ones at that)! We, the players of DDR in the US want DANCEMANIA songs in our mixes. I'm not sure, but I don't remember anyone putting "Holic" or "gentle stress" as one of their all time favorites. I haven't seen "Era" or "Leading Cyber" mentioned anywhere in this thread. What I have seen time and time again is artists like "Captian Jack", "Judy Crystal", "Jenny Rom", "Smile.dk", and "Joga". (I won't even mention E-rotic, because I'll concede its a lost cause).
In addition to the current roster of fantastic Dancemania songs in DDR, there are alot more that haven't made it into any version yet... If you want the US versions to have unique songs how about using songs like:
Robin Robin Hood (speed version) -jenny rom
Shooting Star (clubstar remix) - Flip n Fill
Spaceman - Bambee
Scream if you wanna go faster (Sleaze Sisters Anthem Mix)-Geri Halliwell
Crash - Luna C

If you are looking for some recognizable artists to feature on the front of the case (so you can attract new people), how about getting a Kylie Minogue or Janet Jackson song?
I know that you can do it. When DDR for PS first came out in the US you had 10 Dancemania licenses out of 27 songs (unless I'm mistaken) That is somewhere around 45%. At that time DDR was in its infancy in the US.. why can't we do better now??

Holic has been mentioned once.
Gentle Stress has been mentioned twice.
Era has been mentioned twice.
Leading Cyber hasn't been mentioned at all.
You, who claims to be representing the "players of DDR in the US", thinks that all people want are Dancemania songs. Perhaps that's because that's all they know in terms of licensed DDR songs. Frankly, I liked the new licensed songs for MAXUSA - even IF the steps sucked. I'm quite tired of Dancemania songs on the Japanese mixes, since there was nearly nothing worthwhile added to Extreme from any Dancemania album. Yes, that includes Cartoon Heroes AND Speed Over Beethoven AND Senorita. Blastphemy.
But let's disregard what I want. The fact is, you don't speak for everyone. Out of all the previous DDR songs mentioned on the threads here, 120 are Dancemania tracks. Seems like a lot, yes? Not when you realize that the number of Konami Originals mentioned is 121. So much for 99%!
More stats to piss you off: The top 5 most requested songs on these threads are Kakumei (KO!), MaxX Unlimited (KO!), So Deep, Burning Heat (KO!), and Tsugaru (KO!). And you don't want me to continue, because the next 18 songs - all the Oni remixes, which are, tee hee, Konami Originals - follow. Oh, and then CSFIL Speed Mix.
Yes, there are a handful of mentions of Jenny Rom, Joga, and Smile.dk. (I'm quite happy to say that Judy Crystal's most requested song has less requests than MAX300). But by and large, there are a lot of KOs people still want to see.
So enough with your "99% of the wishlists consist of Dancemania licenses". It's bullshit.

There is no confirmed songlist for MAX2USA. The Oni remixes have not been confirmed as being on said MAX2USA. Please don't assume that they are.[/list]

So...everyone doesn't want repeats, but the fact that these two songs (already on older US mixes) aren't being asked for (probably because they're already on older US mixes) shows that they aren't wanted? I dunno, I like Era, but I don't want it on Max2 because it's ALREADY ON A GAME THAT WE HAVE. But Remy mentioned that Era has been mentioned already.
As for everyone wanting Dancemania stuff...I certainly don't. At least, not only that. If Speed Over Beethoven is put on Max2, I'm going to cry. I think that the license songs they got for MaxUS were better than a lot of the Dancemania and KO songs they put on it. "You Leave Me Alone" is MUCH better than that "I'm For Real" shit. I don't play Dark Black Forest, but I still think it's good that it was on there.

It's funny, because Dynamite Rave won the Konamix poll we had. It was put on there, and SO MANY PEOPLE complained that it was a wasted spot. Why? Could it be that it was already on DDR USA? BUT WE LIKE THE SONG!!!

Even if that was true (and I guess it could be, because if you have one dancemania song in a list it "consists" of it), it hardly represents the majority of what people want. You make the assumption that the wish lists that are posted are the only lists that will be posted, and that everyone who is a fan of DDR posts here and would post their list. Like I've mentioned (here...elsewhere...somewhere...but NUMEROUS times) this board is 20,000 strong. 100,000 people bought Konamix (and we didn't have 20,000 members then). So does that mean that each person here bought 5 copies? Or could it (*gasp*) mean that we DO NOT REPRESENT THE MAJORITY, and therefore our wishes should not be taken as the wishes of all. If KOA doesn't listen to us, I wouldn't be surprised.
dancer-x said that KOA cannot listen to the hardcore players. Why not? Because everyone yells out what they want, and then bitch when KOA gives them a new game. I'm always blown away about the number of people that demand a song, and don't understand that Konami is a BUSINESS, and they cannot bow down to the whims of any one person if they hope to stay alive.

I think we'll get our first taste of the songlist when that E3 spring gameshow(or whatever it's called) comes around. While oni remixes and nothing else has been confirmed, it's probably safe to say we'll see some of them. Along with MAX2 KO's.
It would be nice to have a couple dancemania songs on MAX2. I really enjoyed having Rhythm and Police, Ordinary World, and Syncronized Love on MAX.
Sandstorm was a really rabbit out of the hat for KOA in MAX. I can't wait to see what they pull off this time. |

Wow... Alot of people really dont lik MAX USA, but I LOVE it! I think it is friggin awesome!
I think the US Exclusive songs they put on there are really good for the most part... Dark Black Forest, Shining Polaris, and Look to the Sky (True Colors Mix) are my top 3 played songs.
They may not be really hard songs, but I think the steps are as fun as hell to play. They go with the music...
The only thing I really don't like about MAX US is the Club Mix stuff... I am not a big Club Mix fan, but oh well! Apparently someone likes it or it would not be on there!
I think MAX2 will be even better, but I will also say that the ones that complained about MAX probably should not even get MAX2, because they will just be complaining agian. Some people are just never pleased I suppose...
Just outta curiosity, To the people that hate MAX US: What is your favorite home version of DDR anyway?
In my opinion MAX US is the best there is.

uumm most of the players of DDR in the US don't even know the licensed songs are licensed or anything about Dancemania at all!!! to them, the non-inform DDRer, it just a bunch of songs that got in.
