So recently, an arcade nearby got an ITG Dedicab. Hype! Furthermore, the tech working there is an old co-worker o' mine. Double hype!

The last few times we went, custom songs were unplayable. So I got together with him to get the custom songs turned on. Oddly enough, the option doesn't exist. At all.

It's an R23, so it SHOULD have it. But we went through all the options and it doesn't. Weaksauce. Furthermore, none of the unlock codes will work on the machine. Weaksauce 2.0.

Just wanted to see if anyone here has gone through this sort of situation and can offer suggestions to try. (Then again, this place is probably more dead than people's new-found respect for Mel Gibson.) I can do more internal things since the tech knows I know what I'm doing. And I had R21 on my USB to try and install that, but the USB card randomly decided not to work for us. Didn't notice it until I decided to rock a round and it wouldn't accept it there.

Thanks if people got some help!

My dedicab has that same issue of song unlock codes not working, though I haven't bothered to try to solve the issue because, well...I'm not exactly itching to play Vertex^2. The machine was hacked when I bought it, so I suspect it may somehow be due to a botched hack job. I'll be doing a factory restore in the near future in hopes of solving that and a few other issues.

You'd be far better off taking this question (and any other dedicab questions) to the Technical Area forum on AIJ. Unlike DDR Freak, that forum is frequented by people who actually own machines and thus have experience with solving problems like this.

Yeah, I posted about this on a different forum, and it sounds like I have the same problem as you, Bonner. Previous hack job. So I'm gonna do some research on that and see what I can do about it. Probably gonna be a factory reset though, though it would be cool to be able to re-hack it and get a ton of songs on there hahahaha.

But yeah, it is the normal, as far as I can see, ITG2 theme, minus missing/not-working options in the Service Menu.

Thanks for the answers guys E1.gif And I'll check/post at the other site to see if it helps anything. Thanks again.
