Ok. i dnot kno exactly how to put this but the arrows on my stepmania 3.95 are a little late on some songs. I believe its this old computer of ours but idk. My question is 'how do i make the arrows run smoothly like the arcade ITG?

Either put on autosync machine(F6 twice) and play, or hold shift and use F11-F12 to move the global offset. You can also hold alt while holding shift to move in smaller increments. I would recommend synching to Rynker's "Tricky Disco".

I think he means the notes are laggy. Or his SM is just lagging altogether.

If that's the case, then yeah its probably the PC. The only way I can think of to improve this is to not have more than one application running while you play SM.

You can try changing your video renderer. That might help. You can also change the "boostapppriority=" line of code to 1 or 2. 1 seems to work better for me even though 2 runs a way higher frame rate. 2 gets way too jerky. I don't think my computer can run anything higher than 60FPS without being jerky. I think it's that the computer can't consistently run that fast and you get lag because of it.

Thanks for all of the advice. I changed the boostapppriority code line to 2 and it responds better than before. The arrows dont scroll absolutly smooth like the arcade but i kno for a fact its my computer on that part(cheap graphics card disgust.gif ). I put it the game on a friends computer and it seems just like the arcade on his.
