people who are ugly.
people who say, "oh, i can't play heavy mode on that because it's difficult." when they really can--too much humility is doggy
people who annoy me when i play--as in, like, they say something AGAINST you when u miss a step
people who think they're ddr gods...when, in reality, they're just a bunch of losers _________________

-managers who don't understand the value of repeat customers
i.e. making these complaints and getting no results:
1. the pad isn't working properly
2. you can't hear the music either from the volume being low on the machine itself or from surrounding machines being too loud.
3. other people in the arcade are being a problem (little kid running in front of the machine repeatedly, people yelling while you play, people getting on the machine while you play, stealing your coin from the machine etc)
4. the price is too high
There are three machines in three different arcades about 30 minutes away in my area. I play at one arcade exclusively (unless I'm at the mall anyway) because the other two just don't address those issues at all really. [/u] |

I'm not sure whether the post was sarcasm (the one you replied to), but don't be naive. Such elitism DOES exist for real, though very hard to find, and it (rightfully, IMO) pisses me off. _________________

That's funny, because I've been called ugly once before while I was playing DDR, but it was from some dumb preppy blonde chick and like 10 of her other "friends" who wear too much make up and too much Hollister and so on. I personally think preppy blonde chicks are fugly, but that's just me. It is a rare occurrence , but I've seen it happen and I have experienced it. Regarding the 4th one, I also experienced that first hand. Here's how it went:
I was just playing DDR at a local arcade when this kid who looked like he was about 11 came up to me with a bunch of his dumb friends and he made comments about how much of a stupid noob I am and that he could do better. I said to him "Okay, fine, go ahead. Show me up." He then proceeded to fail Cow Girl on Standard, hitting none of the notes and playing DDR like Pump It Up aka he was hitting the corner metal panels and not the plastic panels that you are supposed to hit. I was trying not to laugh the whole time. I then proceeded to get a terrible score consisting of 12 greats and 4 pad misses on Dam Dariram due to shitty pads. |

Well I won't go into too much detail (every one of these has a story behind it)
1.People who won't make their children behave
2.Those who belive they have exclusive rights to the machine
3.Those who yell things when you mess up
4. Shadowing, and those who do shadow think they have the right to choose the song
5. When people step on the panels on the side that you are trying to play on
Okay! I'm good now! |

HAHA can't believe this topic has gone on for 151 pages, well I have a few things that annoy me.
1) when so called 'friends' poke you in the side whilst playing
2) when multiple people mimic the steps tht the players are doing behind them, god that annoys me so much, y can't they just wait their turn.
3) ungrateful people who keep on putting money in the machine, when say people like me are waiting, I'm like 'Look there is only one dancing machine where I live, so PI** OFFF lol
4) People who play in flip flops, christ...
5) When your half way through a song and somebody walks onto the other pad and puts their money in, JESUS WAIT YOUR TURN I AM NOT GONNA HOG THE MACHINE.
6) when dance machines are too quiet and all you can hear is people screaming in the background, geeze I have failed songs so many times because of this.
7) when the floor is slippy and you fall off, lol (or is that just me)
8) people who hold onto the bar on BEGINNER, AHHHHHHH
9) I dont mind when people gather round to watch, but when they start to suggest songs for me to do, that really grates on me.
10) When the only supernova machine near where I live gets removed NOOOOO
11) when you run out of ddr money lol
Jesus sorry I couldn't stop once I had started, so many annoying people out there lol

People who lean on the bar when im playing
People who purposely try to throw off me or my partner, especially when were on the first or second song and clearly strugling to stay alive.
This awkward conversation which happens atleast once every time:
me: You can pick
player2: Nah you pick
me: No you pick
player2: No you...
*stare at each other for 5 seconds*
me: fine *eye roll*
(I often dont like to pick)
The line:
"You should be good at this you're Asian"
But still i guess thats what friends are for. Ive never really been annoyed by anyone i didnt know except for the first time some random person started shadowing me and i didnt know what was going on. |

I don't mind the Beginner bar rapers. IMO, those people see good players use the bar and think that's the proper way to play anything. Never mind that I do most 8's and some 9's no-bar by choice and can no-bar some 10's.
What has annoyed me, though, is people trying to ask "how do you do that" while I'm playing a song. I've been asked that while playing stuff as low as 5 feet! On ITG I can SDE some 5's, but I've gotten swarms of excellents trying to answer their questions! |

What really pisses me off is when someone who has never played or even tryed to play because there to chicken, gets on the pad next to me when im trying to beat a difficult song, and they jump around acting completely stupid and trying to make there friends laugh and make me fail the song and have to try it all over again (its ok if they ask if they can shadow and actually do shadow.)
And when someone comes up and steps in front of you while playing just to make you fail.. People can be ignorent. |

I know how you feel. I get that shit all the time, mainly because the machine I usually play on is located in a mall that is always uber crowded and full of ghetto wigger kids. I can tolerate people doing the ape-stomp wannabe shadowing thing because I've gotten used to it used to it, but sometimes people take it too far. In fact, on one occasion, I had some dumb fat skater guy moon me for no reason, trying to distract me while playing DDR. |

What I hate the most is new players or players who aren't very good being intimidated by me and only playing one set/not playing at all just because of what I or others might think of them because they aren't as good.
Everyone is welcome to play, good or bad, and there's no reason to think that good players will look down on you because you aren't as good as they are |

Here's my list (some or all may be repeats):
1. People who blame the machine for EVERY mistake they make.
2. People who brag about the high scores (AAA's) they can get, then CONTINUE to blame the machine for getting "GREAT's" instead of "PERFECTS".
3. People who JUMP OFF the machine just because they got a "GREAT" instead of "PERFECT".
4. People who put quarters or swipe their cards in the machine WHILE you are playing.
5. People who critisize the song you pick and then...
6. Continue on by saying to the crowd around you that "yeah, she's playing expert, but its an easy expert song...
7. That SAME PERSON who brags about how many tournaments they won and then...
8. Continue on by saying " I don't play DDR anymore, its too easy" (then why was he there playing all night showing off, or trying to?).
9. Little kids who run in front or behind you while you play, as the parents watch and laugh thinking its cute (even my 9yr old son thinks thats annoying). I actually got into it with a parent and he told the kid to get back on and asked me what was I gonna do!
10. People who play barefoot, no shirt, in boxers (sometimes ALL AT ONCE!).
11. People that play the same song over and over.
12. People that give step by step instructions on how to play WHILE you are playing (example: try going slower, faster, etc).
13. My OWN son, that nags me while I play or purposely distract me to cause me to fail so he can get a turn... (I STILL LOVE HIM!).
14. My OWN son, that pushes me off and takes my 2nd or 3rd song.. ( I SAID I STILL LOVE HIM!).
15. People who get all worked up when they find out I'm 31 with a 9yr old, and bug out that I play Expert and only been playing for a few months, and continue to get all worked up when they watch my child play!
OKAY, so it got a little personal! |
