DanceDanceRevolution X

The official site has been updated!

Here's a look at the confirmed songs so far:

Licenses:
Boys (2008 X-Edit) / smile.dk

Konami Originals
Flourish / sonic-coll. feat. frances maya
Party Lights / Tommie Sunshine
Taj He Spitz / DKC Crew
Tracers (4Beat Mix) / Ruffage & Size

Surprisingly, it seems that the game will be released on January 29th. A bit strange seeing as how the arcade game will be released at the same time.

There are new screenshots, but they do not confirm any new-to-DDR songs in the game. However, they do show some noteable interface differences from the US PS2. The biggest example is the 'colored combo meter' that was seen in the DDR X Beta tests.

And....here's a list of some features!

-Party Zone allows up to 8 players to connect 4 PS2s for individual or team battles.

-Street Master Mode contains stories for over 10 dancers and allows players to choose difficulties of the missions.

-Allows for the use of USB Memory to play edit data made in the PS2 game to be played in the arcade.

-More than 60 songs including popular music.

-Many popular songs from other BEMANI series.

Inconceivable. Never would have thought about it being real.

The 2nd & 3rd screenshots appear to be the same song based on what I can see, but the screenshots are so freakin' small I can't make it out...All I can see is ???????? (????????), so it might be a remix & it appears that there's a "&" sign under the song title, which might mean there's 2 artists.

Yeah, I'm almost 100% sure that Konami did that on purpose E10.gif. Just like they did this screenshot on purpose

You can just kinda barely make out "DDR Re-edit".

Also: They redid the gateway, and for some strange reason, the "global" gateway redirects you right to the Japanese one now.

It looks to me like DDR X-edit. Perhaps it is an Empress crossover.

While I doubt it's from Empress (it just finished its test location not too long ago), there is the possibility that it could be a crossover. Recall that Stars*** had (DDR Edition) at the end of its title. Perhaps it's a newer IIDX song (like DistorteD, Gold, or DJ Troopers).

And extreme 1 and 2 both had (for EXTREME) at the end of like a third of the songs

For those who haven't been following the AC information...

According to am-net, this game is going to be released this winter, which will make the time between the AC and CS game pretty short.

And yes, you will be able to make edits on this game and play them on the arcade version, though no specifics have been mentioned yet.

*bump*

By comparing stepcharts, the song shown in the two middle screenshots on the CS page is "Tracers (4Beat mix)". The screenshot shown on the "how to play" page on the DDR gateway is "Boys (2008 X-Edit)".

So I guess those are confirmed

im wonderin, the US DDRX contains quite a lot of new songs from the supernova 2 JP which they neva had before, so will DDRX JP repeat these songs which they already have in the supernova 2 or come with newer songs which no one has seen before..its quite exciting..

Obviously newer songs.

The arcade version will have over 60 new songs, which means we have 30+ more to find out about.

I wonder and look forward to the song revives were gonna get... hmmmm enough with the 75, 80 songlist BS... 100 + songs would be real nice considering its a "10th anniversary game" and most likely the last one. If they can put 111 songs on DDR Extreme, theres no reason they cant put atleast 100 on this. Personally I'd like for this to have every boss song on it... everything from Max300 to Paranoia Hades.

Last game? Doubtful. The am-net description already describes games after X to have "1.5x more content", so they are definitely at least planning for releases.

With Venus getting an oni chart in X US and murmur twins/Kind Lady getting ones in Uni 3, perhaps they'll be bringing old songs for new charts. Though it would be kind of strange, considering Kind Lady was on SN2 JP CS.

Pretty much. Haha. This kind of talk takes me back to the 5th Mix days...

"What? They're putting Japanese titles and singing in the songs now? DDR must be done for sure, now!" laugh.gif

"WHAT!? They're releasing a mix with no Captain Jack, no E-ROTIC, no SMiLE.dk, and no BUS*STOP even? DDRMAX is gonna be the worst mix ever!"

just a presumption, but not to disappoint everyone. the fact that it only has 60 songs probably means that it will be the American version with all the SN2 songs ripped out and a few more J-pop songs, I wouldn't be too exited.

Come on, why didn't the US version get USB Memory? It IS an American machine after all. Why didn't we get colored combo meters anyway?

I believe that Konami thinks Americans are impatient, and that if they waited until January to add these features to our game, we'd get all angry for the game being delayed.

Uh...no, dude.

The "Over 60 songs" is most likely just ripped from the AC description, and did you miss the last point?
