Default song list is already known. It's up on youtube right now.

Judging by the Youtube video......

Except for the Dancemania revivals (all of which are amazing) and a few other songs, the license list is fairly disappointing, and at first glance, one of the worst of the PS2 mixes (a first glance may end up being totally wrong, however). I like having recognizable songs in my license lists, but this one has hardly any. It has like, 4 or 5, and one of them is pure crap and another is a cover. And honestly, whoever said they were going for an urban, edgier songlist said pretty much the opposite of what they did. Seems like a bad habit Konami is getting into. After amazing license lists like EX2 and SN2, this doesn't seem to cut it anymore. But the Dancemania revivals are damn amazing.

The game wins for the following new songs
Quote:
Boys
Bloody Tears (IIDX Version)
Votum Stellarum
Why Not
Shades of Grey

New songs? Those were all in SN2.

I meant new to the US PS2 X_X

No GameStop within 100 miles of my house has it, apparently. I did hear of someone from California who got it. Anybody near/in Sacramento have it?

Unrelated to X, the master songlist appears to hint that Konami is planning a new Disney mix. Several files for classic Disney songs such as "A Spoonful of Sugar" and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" exist.

Default Songlist

Must resist urge to look at hidden songs in the game! Gotta wait until Sunday until my birthday to get my copy!

Huzzah for Challenge charts returning in X after only being on the boss songs on SN2. I'm surprised on how many songs you get for Default. I recall getting about half that much on EX2-SN2.

Just picked up the game. I can't play it now though cause I gotta write a paper. I'll try to play tonight and find some interesting info.

If Sunkiss Drop is in the game (I don't know), is there some way to make it Alison Side or Jun Side w/o depending on luck? I don't why I'm asking since I might have to wait until Sunday (or I might just buy it w/ my $19 GS money & get $10 somewhere) & I want to keep the unlockable songs a secret, BUT THE TEMPTATION IS TOO STRONG TO LOOK AT SPOILERS!!!

It's not often that a YouTube video makes me shout "OH HELL YES!", but that's what happened when "Always On My Mind" came up.

Those X-edits don't sound significantly different from the originals; does that mean they just redid the stepcharts? Or am I just hearing wrong.

The video is blurry/low-res enough that I mistook "Get Up'n Move" for "Let Them Move" at first; oh well. E10.gif

... and why do those previews take so long to load?

Yeah the previews have been taking a lot longer to load...

The X-Edits are almost identical to the originals but they cut a different portion of the song from it's Dancemania versions, BOYS and DUB-I-DUB seem longer and have more music breaks. Each of them has brand new EXPERT steps which are pretty similar to the originals but with freeze arrows and follow th ebeat a little differently. They also each have Challenge steps which I assume are the original (they're all easier than Expert).

Other things I've noticed:
-Information mode is much more expansive this time around. They've broken it down into sections for general info, the songs themselves, individual artist info, characters, tips, announcer bios, etc. Most of it is the same as the artist/song bios on ddronlinecommunity's website.

-Interface: It looks nicer than I thought in person. Not as graphically beautiful as SN2 but it still looks nice.

-Music Master: Haven't played too much of it yet but apparently each character has their own Story Mode, still haven't done much with this yet though.

-The songs in general seem longer and the licenses have some pretty good steps. 30 Lives is awesome! And the video is so cool, catchy tune. Why not!!! Wine Red has it's video as well and has a nice chart.

-ALICE!!! and wtf? Queen Zukin.

I've played in Street Master for about three and a half hours and I've only unlocked two songs, one of them boss-worthy (a.k.a the ES).

Yeah. I'm up to Stage 6 or whatever of Emi's Story and I don't think I've unlocked anything yet. No big though, it keeps the game fresh longer E10.gif

Well, gonna check out the online mode.

EDIT: The extra stage is really fun E10.gif. Do you just beat something and the game tells you it's unlocked or is there a shop or something?

The songlist seems OK, but personally, I would have liked to see more of the songs we didnt get in the past. Whatever happened to songs like Dance Dance Revolution, Himawari (only on Xbox for the moment), Chikara, Drivin', Destiny Lovers, etc, (I can go on forever). I would think that for a 10th anniversary of DDR, the actual song would be in it (Dance Dance Revolution).

If DDR isn't in this, then you might as well give up hope on it ever making a US appearence (along with MAX. and the oni only charts that are still missing).

BOY SURE CAN'T WAIT FOR THAT JPCS RELEASE biggrin.gif

Hammer? Where is that? Oh, no matter, that means I could've gotten it today! Which is a good thing, I have all of tomorrow to play it (well, most of it anyway, I had a TON of homework today.). Yay!
