DDR Uni3, DDRX, DDR HP2 officially announced! (56k Warning!)

You know, I'm sorta wondering if they're even gonna put OK Go's treadmill video on this game. I mean, the thing's all shot in one take, so if Konami edits the song down there'll be an obvious seam in the video. Unless they just pull an outta-nowhere fadeout like in Say Goodbye.

In other news, the more time I spend on DDRFreak the more I think my only purpose is to be that one guy that goes against everybody else's opinion. I like rock/rap songs in DDR, but the situation is weird: The rock songs tend to sound good but have annoying stepcharts, while the rap songs are fun to play despite not always being so fun to listen to. For the most part, the only techno I willingly listen to is from Bemani. I'm thrilled when I see really old stuff like Get Down Tonight or Let's Twist Again on a songlist. And I might be the only person out there with Make It Better in the 'most played' spot on EXUS.

DDRX is looking pretty good so far. I really hope that cool interface doesn't go to waste.

Sean Paul =/= Epic Fail, and I do listen to rap avidly. That said, rap generally isn't much of a good choice for DDR. Sean Paul is, though. OK Go in DDR isn't that great, but the song they did put in here is a step up from the rock crap they gave us in SN US. Big Girls Don't Cry is at least a million times better than Do You Want To in SN US. I actually like that song, whereas Do You Want To is possibly the worst song that has ever been put in DDR. EVER.

But Uni3 gets 100sec Kitchen Battle, which means UNI3 GET

. I love Orange Lounge. Concertino in Blue is a song I haven't really heard, but if everyone (or at least a majority) likes it, then that's a good thing! I also like 777 somewhat.

Concertino In Blue was THE last song you had to unlock in Guitar Freaks/Drummania Masterpiece Gold, a game which the fans choose the songlist. As you can tell, we REAAAALLLY wanted CiB on a GF/DM CS.

Considering that X has NO crossovers announced & the only 3 are on Uni3 (HP2 won't have any I bet), so MAYBE we'll get super lucky & Konami will be smart enough to put them on X.

Remember that we DID get Bag on SN2. It was 1st on Ultramix 3 (so was rainbow flyer, which we also got on SN2), but recall that Ultramix 3 also got a bunch of PS2-got-it-1st stuff (Daikenkai, Sakura, Legend of Max, Breakdown, & Candy*).

I would actually be really surprised if there were no new-to-DDR crossovers on X. We got 4 new crossovers in SN2 CS, two of which had not even been unlocked in the arcade yet.

That would be awesome if they did "Shoes". Wayyy better than Shaun Paul, Chris Brown, and Ashley Tisdale poo.

why do you guys hate do you want to so much? i recall it being a kind of fun chart and the song is catchy as most franz feridnand songs are. i thought come clean and garbage like that on SN1 was far worse, haha.

I hate Franz Ferdinand with a deep, burning passion. Their songs and mannerisms are annoying and sometimes disturbing, and the vocalist sounds like a drowning zombie. Worse vocalist than "LET THEM MOOOOOOVE!". A good stepchart could not save Take Me Out like it did Dance, Dance.

Come Clean was really underrated. I loved the beat, it was really ambient and good to me. I liked the steps, too. Not the best steps, but fun.

well, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but i'd rather listen to franz ferdinand than about 95% of other popular artists out there these days. Maybe it's just because after watching paradise kiss so much they sorta grew on me, heh.

Do You Want To is one of my fav. licenses to ever hit DDR. To each his/her own opinion.

I can't wait to hear what the crossovers for X will be.

I actually don't mind the licenses on SuperNOVA 2 home version, I could play a whole round of 4 songs and extra stage on just them. My best has like 6 or 7 of them in my top 10.
