OK GO should stay in Rock Band. If I were to dance to this song, I would want a treadmill.

This list is wimpy, except for U Can't Touch This and the 2 remakes.

I just hope Konami has the best 2nd half of a song list ever (especially old school DDR songs), or I am not buying this. Inferior songlists (and elitists) have made me quit the game for now. Konami needs to shape up
quickly!

Now about U Can't Touch This. There better be an equivalent to an old school foot scale mid-tough 8 to mid-high 9 stepchart on this song. Just listen to the rhythm! I just pray Konami doesn't make an bull**** chart like Every Little Step again with this song. Hammer don't deserve this treatment (especially after Ch. 13 bankruptcy E13.gif )

Cause that's what it's all about...
Some people don't have arcades around them any longer, and the console games is as close as you can get to getting the full original experience. Where I live, the closest DDR/ITG machine is a good 40-45 miles away, and I don't drive. Getting older songs is pretty much getting and sporting a vintage teeshirt that everyone is jealous of.
End of useless rant.

I must say that HOTTEST PARTY 2 has finally made my precious, beautiful dream come true...

...even though it's a cover, I'll give it an A for effort~ love.gif

1,000 delicious brownie points go to the people who actually remember when I used this pic...

Enjoy that fun blast from the past! laugh.gif

Crap! I had forgotten about Call on Me!

Too bad I can't hop on board HP2 for that, even if it is a cover.
Now I'm very very sad, and have to go watch that video over and over! O_O

The songlist is definitely meh...
MC hammer doesn't really do it for me unfortunately. But yea, hopefully the rest of the licenses and KO's (assuming there are more licenses) will be worth it. And hopefully the new mixes of butterfly and dub-i-dub come close to the originals. But probably wont, considering every remix of butterfly Ive ever heard has made my ears bleed, including upswing.

Still hoping for "My Drive Thru" on here. :O

EDIT~ Just read the thing about the "xmixes"... This is actually probably the most exciting thing for me about the entire game. I've been hoping for stuff like this on a ps2 release for some time now.

I know it's in Extreme, but can't I have hope? They should pretend they never made it. Some good songs, but it feels like a torture machine to play for various reasons.

weirder things have happened. I like pink rose a good bit as well and think it'd be a decent revival for X if they give it a new challenge chart.

When I think of 'old school DDR songs', I think of Dynamite Rave, B4U, Brillant2U, etc. which all are featured on various US PS2 mixes.

Slight DDR rant :O)

I think this release should have all new songs that were never on DDR before. Wouldn't that be a real treat, It's the 10th year anniversary KONAMI. I"m tired of Paranoia, Dynamite Rave, Max, End of the Century..... i'm sick of it Konami. We've played these songs OVER AND OVER AND OVER, we do not need them on any new mixes.

I think they slap old songs in just to take up space.

I personally am really tired of bad-sounding boss songs. I want to dance to music that has feeling, not some weird, stopping-starting instrumental that belongs in the garbage. Yet, everyone seems to want them soooo bad. Most people have soft pads, who the hel_ wants to waste space on a DDR mix with songs they won't even want to play?

SuperNova 2 was mostly horrible, I'd scan through the list, often getting back to the beginning of the song wheel having not wanted to play anything. But when I go back and pop in 3rd or 5th mix I would play one song after another.....WHY?

I really hoped for something special with DDRX but now I've kind of given up hope, and I don't think I'm wrong in feeling this way. I wish Konami would make it a REAL anniversary edition and treat us to something great. I can't bear anymore Disney pop star songs or songs from the 70's/80's that aren't even remixed. I wish Konami would stop making this game for young girls and their mothers and start making it for the DDR players that have stuck wtih them for all these years!

Ok rant over for now E1.gif

I understand your disliking for Reggaeton, but there songs in that genre that could be fun to step by Konami. I wonder what would be your opinion reguarding the only genre in Dance music that has not been featured on DDR yet (read: Latin Freestyle).

Plus I agree on the Ozomatti and OkGO selections (they belong somewhere else)

This mix needs more patsenner.

Really, though, I'm hoping for tons and tons of old songs. Songs that haven't been on PS2 yet. The old DDR songs just have more character... most of the new stuff is boring and generic-sounding, with way too many jumps thrown in. Somebody said they wanted mixes with all-new songlists... for someone like me who only plays US Playstation or Nintendo mixes, Supernova and Supernova 2 were practically all-new songlists, and yet I mostly just played the Ultramix crossovers and Extreme JP arrivals. My favorite DDRs are the first three PS2 versions, they were a good mix of old and new.

Besides, this is an anniversary mix, shouldn't it have some of the music that made DDR successful in the first place?

We need some Dancemania from Supernova revivals, like Wookie Wookie & Golden Sky.

I'd WELCOME latin Freestyle and I'd welcome certain types of reggatone.

The fact of the matter is that when it comes to DDR in America lately, they put in a ton of useless rock and crappy "old skool" songs that don't really fit ddr.

i understand a ton of people here hated supernova 2 licensed list but honestly, it was probably the BEST license list in a ps2 game since Max 2.

When I randomly play ddr with friends at my house they like to pick what they know or pick stuff with a good beat. So far from the songs I've heard in the ddr X list only 3 of those fit that description.

and for all the "Disney" haters

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9qiax6zfxk&feature=related < this would be better than half those licenses we have so far
