Those songs are great. Suddenly I See is kinda like the song that's there that doesn't fit and it makes me giggle. But yeah, I'd rather have Poseidon than that. Sean Paul and Chris Brown are great.

...made EX US (they put some of the best songs and one of the best licenses in that crappy no DANCE PLAY mix. They should've had a recall on that game that put better songs, the old AC interface, and dance play)?
...kept the grading system intact in EX2? (That's seriously the only reason I stopped playing it, it was frustrating to get A's when I had enough perfects for an AA)
...put Dance, Dance and Do You Want To in DDR?
...made some SN songs exclusively online?
...made the dancers dance to no audible rhythm or beat in the Ultramixes? I know it makes faster songs better because they don't lookodd like they do when bag, TLOM, MaxX, and the like are played, but when a song like Butterfly plays, they could dance to the BPM and look right.
...hired Betson and the memory card edit makers? Konami should've sued THEM instead of Roxor and Harmonix (although I don't really like ITG and don't mind not hearing about it anymore, a lot of fans were really disappointed and they didn't really give the ITG lovers many options... That was cruel)
...made the order for the DDRMAX US songlist? (I don't quite understand it. Are the songs ordered by difficulty or something?)
...cut Heaven Is A Place On Earth and Lovin' You (probably more) so that the lyrics are only in about 10 seconds of the song?
...made Healing-D-Vision without triplets? That would've made the song more enjoyable. The 360 BPM part was good in 8ths, but the rest of the song should've been triplets.
...rated FELM Expert over FAXXE, TLOM, and MaxX in DDR X? (Of course, it's still beta, it's bound to change)
...didn't put the songs in my sig in SN2?
...put Pink Rose on EX, amongst other great songs that were wasted on a crappy looking, crappy feeling, no dance play optioned mix?
...overloaded SN US with rock songs?
...made ALL of the licenses in HP covers? Some songs had to be covered, but others would've been a lot better if they weren't odd sounding covers.

Um, yeah. Since we all have different opinions, genre likes, etc. about song lists, people will always complain. confused.gif

...the stepcharts, though. For me, at least some licensed songs in MAX 2, extreme and extreme 2 had interesting stepcharts, especially in MAX 2. (Ghosts, So Deep, Twilight Zone) In Supernova 2, um, all of the (yellow?) songs but Angelus, Beginning Of The End, Eternus, Until Forever and maybe Volcano were boring. Please, Konami, however you chose the songlist for max2, use the same tactics for DDR X.
I'll give you $5!!! E13.gif

I think they're ordered by the average of all three difficulties. Which is weird.

The only real difference between the two songs is that True Style has bpm changes and (I believe) an Oni chart. The other charts are pretty much the same.

Yeah, True Style has an Oni chart. It's pretty much the only thing I play when I want to play Flow, which is why I was wrong about the similarity of its other charts.

Flow was the 1st version to appear on SN. Konami then added a patch to fix some of the problems (I think it was mostly timing issues) & decided to add 2 songs. Flow (True Style), which was the "proper/original" version, with new charts, a Challenge chart, & the speed-ups, & also FELM to apologize for the timing issues.

I think they should've removed the original in that case. It's confusing to have two identical songs, with one moving at a different bpm for some reason.

1. Probably by date of creation, but I think it is difficulty.
2. Lovin' You has lyrics?!?!? I thought it was just some lady singing really really highly pitched...

If I am not mistaken, Drifting Away and Ghosts are in Max 2 unless you meant the Japanese version.

I thought the personified cactus for the Gamelon De Couple logo was cool as well as the song itself E13.gif

KT Tunstall sings "Suddenly I See".

Well, um, the only one that comes to my mind is, "What was Konami thinking when they made the announcer say what he does, especially 'Whew! It was close!' when one fails a song?"

Edit/Update: I thought of another one: "What was Konami thinking when they didn't bother to implement a pause feature (don't you just hate being trapped in performing a song when something comes up?)?" I thought about making another post, but I don't know if that wastes bandwidth.

The order is probably based on the difficulty ratings in light mode. Hence, since Remember You is a 1 and Orion.78 is a 6 on light? Yeah, that must be it.

Chenny laugh.gif at the Lovin' You! I hate that song, I groan just looking at it on the song wheel ... yes there are lyrics. It's just as annoying on ddr as it was many years ago when Minnie Riperton recorded it in 1975 (yes I do remember it from then).

... e-motion What is that? It's like they needed one more song to fill the list and just took the intro to a song and as it's starting to get into the song it just cuts off. Ugh

Because they weren't in the engine, and I assume Konami didn't feel like doing too much with it.

but then why are Exotic Ethnic and Matsuri Japan before 22Dunk and Take It To The Morning Light?

Like I said before, I'm pretty sure it's the average of all three difficulties.

22DUNK averages 6.67
Take It to the Morning Light, Matsuri Japan, and Exotic Ethnic all average 6, so it's probably ABC-order for the tie.

...now that I think about it, since there's no Challenge, total of all difficulties works just as well as average, and I've just been thinking too hard.

If I am not mistaken, Drifting Away and Ghosts are in Max 2 unless you meant the Japanese version.

If you mean why they don't appear in later mixes, it's because Konami stopped licensing tracks from Toshiba-EMI's "Dancemania" compilations. No more Hi-Site (Follow Me by Baby Whatever, Flash In The Night by Flashman), No more Vibration/LED (Hot Limit, Yozora No Muko, Fantasy by Melissa), No more SAIFAM (Boom Boom Dollars, Upside Down, and ANYTHING with Jenny ROM), no more of the good stuff.

For my money it'd be a great idea for Konami to license tracks from Avex, at least a few.

TL;DR version: PULLED THE PLUG, LOL.

Because exotic and matsuri are 4's on light, and 22DUNK and Morning Light are 5's. E13.gif

What *I* don't get about the tracklist, is why the "Extra Stage section" comes -before- the unlockables. o.o
