Not much to see especially since I could record only so little, the vids are truly horrible quality and they were mostly playing all old songs, but the cabinet is pretty cool to look at IMHO. If anyone actually is interested, I'll see about converting the vids and uploading them somewhere. (I'm hoping someone already has something nicer to look at uploaded already, perhaps...?) Anyway, let me know.

Sounds good! We've only got a few pictures right now, so I'm sure we'd all be glad to see some videos, no matter how bad the quality.

Everyone can probably quit whining about not having a place to put your stuff on the machine by the way.
Notice that TimeHollow's video isn't playing, but that's just because it's a test location.

Wow that thing is a behemoth. Looks nice though.

It's kinda amusing how the screen is wider yet the one and two player HUDs look to be in the same position. You'd think they would space them out farther from each other to take advantage of the extra screen space, but I guess not lol.

Now here's the big question: Will the pads be better than the SN and Pre-SN cabs?

i hate how the arrows arent centered with the groove radar on the widescreen. really annoying. even DDR universe did that.

those speakers look intense on tht machine, but what the hell do those poles on th side do. Also, the new pad design is fugly. I like the old arrows better. also prefered red bars. Nonred bars just don't look right, lol.

Weren't they already differentiated? Heavy was 9 and Challenge was 8... unless they changed the ratings for SuperNOVA?

I think that's just a typo from the person who took the ratings down. You're Not Here is listed as an 8, and Your Rain is an 11...

I am assuming these foot ratings are beta and will probably go through some changes for the final release. No way Your Rain is an 11. No point in considering what the machine says until the final product is released.

They already changed some of the ratings in between the two Japanese location tests, so I'm sure they will.

Sorry for the delay guys; my reply notification e-mail was pointing to an old, inactive mail account.

I just finished uploading the 3 Osaka location test vids to megaupload. Here's the links... hope they work; I've never used megaupload before.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=A2UJ8HGW
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4A9RJEI7
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=56DLG7J7

The vids are in the original .3g2 file format from my cell phone; Quicktime (or Quicktime Alternative and Media Player Classic) should be able to play these. I tested them with Quicktime before uploading.

And again, these are -crappy- quality, but they're the only vids I was able to get. That being said, enjoy =) The cabinet -does- look sweet, IMHO.

These widescreen machines look like they'll cost a lot. It'll probably take a while for most arcades to earn back the cost. Or, maybe try to find space in the arcade to put that beast.

New dance pad design is bleh. New button design is...bleh. If I goof around and fall on one of those lights, it seems like it'll crack in half. The logo, wish they had used something more traditional.

Never liked the new pads they started using with the release of SN/SN2. Doubt they'll go back to the old ones though. The song selection interface is alright though from looking at the photos.

Being pessimistic as usual, I'm sure I'll enjoy it once it comes out.

Hey Vultaire, thanks!

I had a bit of trouble getting these to play with Windows Media Player Classic, but I finally got them working with VLC.

I uploaded these videos on YouTube so people can view them more easily . I gave you full credit, but if you'd rather them not be up there, just let me know and I'll take 'em down E1.gif.

They do work in quicktime but then I am running on a mac so qt is not a hassle.

I made a mirror so you can download these without the megaupload crap:

http://bin.orbackbone.com/bin/xtest1.3G2
http://bin.orbackbone.com/bin/xtest2.3G2
http://bin.orbackbone.com/bin/xtest3.3G2

It is just a backup server so it will not be lighting fast but you can get them all at once.

Hey guys, thanks for your hard work so far. I was hoping someone would mirror and/or youtube the vids, and both have been done - great!

Pie~: No prob with the vids being up on youtube, and I'm happy you gave me credit.

There is obviously a good chance that Konami could ask to have these vids taken down. There -was- a no recording sign there, these videos really should not have been made, but since I did make them I didn't just want to destroy them. Hope you guys enjoy them, but if Konami has a problem, please be respectful. =)

Hey, do you remember what songs you recorded? I think I hear Drop the Bomb in one, and Dynamite Rave in another, but I can't tell the third one.

That would be good ol' Max 300. =)

Yeah, unfortunately most the players were just playing old favorites - maybe too afraid to lose too fast or something.

Seriously, I waited in line for like a full hour to play one round myself!! Then I double-padded it, did 2 songs I knew well, and then did the new red song (Saber Wing?) on double and passed with a C or B since it was my first time.
