Check your warning points. Doesn't look like you're doing a very good job. Calm down, and expand your vocabulary beyond "butthurting". _________________

Just give us true triplets, 24ths, 32nds, 48ths, and 64ths in edit mode and I'll be happy (and have support for edits of course) _________________

*looks back at the teaser page*
I don't see a widescreen there. But that could be the non-DX version.
If my crappy web-based translators are working correctly, then those USB slots are for implementing Link Mode with the PS2. ("USBã¡ã¢ãªã¼ã使ã£ã¦PS2çã¨ãªãªã¸ãã«ã·ã¼ã±ã³ã·ã£ã«ãªã©ããªã³ã¯å¯è½") Maybe those things in the middle that I saw were USB slots? They are right where the memory card slots used to be. |

Yeah, the whole thing says something like "USB Memory for use of linking to the PS2 version and original sequencer" _________________

I believe the correct term is BAWWWWWWWWWWWW
On topic....Betson's not making the cabs anymore, meaning possibly not sucky hardware.

Then we can downgrade to extreme. |
If it doesn't suck (hardware wise....I have no faith the actual mix will be worth anything) and if there is true justice in the world, then by God someone will hack it to run ITG. _________________

Ok guys, brace yourself...am-net just updated the DDR:X page with features.
Cabinet will feature:
Widescreen monitor
Satellite Unit Ultra-Luxury Lights
Updated Speaker System
The PS2 version will be released this winter, and players can make edits and play them at the arcade.
A new gimmick, entitled "Shock Arrow" will be introduced. This arrow should not be stepped on. It is unknown at this time whether this will be a regular feature, or whether it will be in an optional mode or modifer.
It mentions that the step variations will increase.
Beginner mode will now be called starter mode
Looks like the courses will be in "Course Mode" and a new "Dance Drill Course" will be used as well.
e-amusement will once again be used.
Lastly, the song count is going to be "More than 60 new songs" _________________

FUCK
edit: US version or JP?
If it's the JP version, it makes sense, but the US version should be out in late September as usual =/ _________________

Awesome. Though I already like how DDR's monitor is now, widescreen is what's "Hot" right now with gaming so it's good to see them update.

I love futuristic stuff. Also, lights really draw people's attention, so this will bring crowds faster than loud and fast stomping alone. I just hope it doesn't distract the players.

Isn't this the first game for the PS2 that uses the USB as something to store data? I don't count Action Replay's save system.

This worries me. I hope it's a modifier because if it becomes a regular thing, then it will be evident that DDR is trying to replace ITG in every aspect and detract from it's origins.

What?

Do you really follow me into the light. Drill instructor's on, drill instructor's on my side

Um... yay?

Finally they're thinking realistically. Then again, last "X new songs" announcement was debatable. |

The PS2 version they mention IS the Japanese game. The US game is out on September 18th.
More stuff:
You can play edits via USB on the cabinet, and Konami will publish good edits on all machines using e-Amuse.
Old songs being revived are mentioned, including "Strongest previous" songs.
In future DDR games, the number of new songs will increase by 1.5x in volume.
e-Amuse will have several new features, including a "welcome system" for those who are new to DDR and a 'Friend system' that may be something like Rivals on IIDX.
So basically, the only thing that is worrying me about this mix are Shock Arrows. Besides that, it looks pretty sweet. _________________

Yeah, these are from a private showing of DDR X that was exclusive to vendors. Just putting this in before, "Zomg is that a location test?!" _________________

So I wonder... how much is thing going to cost? It's neat. It's looks cool. It's great and all of that good stuff. I just wonder if the game will be good enough and have enough player interest to make money for the vendors who would buy it.
Hopefully, some of the ITG mods will make an appearance in this game. |
