hey.. i was just wondering before max 300 came out what did you all consider to be the hardest song? out of curiosity who was the first person to pass max 300 in usa...? when max 300 came out were you all like "woah thats impossible" p.s i dont know if you all have noticed this but the first 3 max songs continue off each other...i.e. the last part of max 300 sounds like the beggining of maxx unlimited.. |

I thought that Furuhata's Theme and God of Romance were the hardest songs before the MAXes rolled around. _________________

Didn't Afronova used to be "illegal" for tournament play, or is that just a DDR urban legend? _________________

Afronova? I used to think the toughest pre-max song was Dynamite Rave... I just had stamina troubles with those sixteenths. Afronova just has that unpredictable ending, but it took me longer to FC Primeval. _________________

Jon Sheridan (JSBlade) was the first person in the US to AA it. Quote: | when max 300 came out were you all like "woah thats impossible" | I remember when I first played it as an extra stage, the speed of the steps and the Reverse of the arrows totally blew my mind. It was very exciting because it was like nothing on DDR I had ever seen. All I wanted to do was spend hours at the arcade trying to get good enough for that stage. |

Yeah, kid. If you havent already, listen to them closely. Or even better, use some audio prorgam and connect them all. _________________

I've done this and there's no way The Legend of Max fits in anywhere. _________________

That's because LoM is in a different key. Essentially according to main themes, they do continue after each other. _________________

that's what it said on wikipedia, though I thought that Rhythm & Police had 1/32 in them. I'll be honest though, I don't really get all the 1/16, 1/32, 1/48th note business. _________________

Nope, R&P had 16th gallops (I'm pretty sure). _________________

I'd say ããã³ã¹ã®ç¥æ§ and Drop Out were the toughest pre-MAX songs. ããã³ã¹ã®ç¥æ§ was just a cheap ho with its step chart, and Drop Out was FAST. Both songs are still hell for me to pass but I've been practicing and hopefully I'll get to the speed 10s (already cleared Bag on 1x with flat mod). _________________

I used to think Leading Cyber was the hardest, until I figured out the middle part. Besides that, Healing Vision Angelic. _________________

HVAM was introduced in the same mix as 300 though.
Before the 10s came along, the 9s had pretty much the same rap that 10s have now. You could often judge how good a player was by how many "catas" they could pass. _________________
