i think this question has been asked before but..

doesnt Energizer Hard seem very similar to The Legend of max heavy? they both start off exactly the same and they have the little streams and whatnot but the main thing is that in the middle of both songs, they have a slow down to where the arrows go slow as hell.

and of course everyone knows that monolith is similar to HVAM as well..

i'm pretty sure kyle ward was just inspired... but whatever

I really don't think tloM inspired the Energizer hard chart. A few elements of the chart remind me of MAX300, but not very much.

The BPM is the only similarity between HVAM and Monolith IMO.

If a song sounds similar to another, of course they're going to have similar charts (as long as the charts are actually good).
It doesn't necessarily mean that one inspired the other.

1) Kyle Ward only made the song, not the stepchart

2) It's a coincidence

Wtf Monolith and HVMA, shoot yourself.

And for energizer, if you have to start comparing the steps on the hundreds of song of two 4 panel game, well revive yourself and shoot yourself again.

Kyle Ward did not make the song. He has repeatedly denied being ZiGZaG, though he acknowledges being his 7 or so other aliases. Come on, he sells his music, so why would he completely exclude an alias from his list of them, therefore making less money?

Kyle is Zig-Zag.

And yeah, they're kind of similar. But Monolith to HVAM? I don't see or hear any similarities there at all.

If that was the case, ZiGZaG's songs would also be on Kyle Ward's site, which it isn't... only aliases up there are Banzai, Smiley, Inspector K, Kbit, KaW, KeeL, and Oscillar X

Am I the only one who doesn't see Dukamok mentionned in this thread. And the beginning and end tempo changes are the only similarities obvious to me. It ends there. Why would we even want to compare songs from to dancing games where one dominates in every aspect.

You'd have to be a fucking retard to not notice the similarities between HVAM and Monolith. The way both songs start off, the stops in the middles, the way they both end, and even music-wise they sound pretty damn similar in my opinion. Let's not all be ITG fanboys here and deny that ITG ever used anything from DDR as inspiration. Because we all know that the Disconnected series was a total stab at the PARANOiA series, don't we?

Yeah I thought the thread would die on its own but now it's obvious that we can't have nice things here.
