I like watching people struggle to pass something.

i like seeing noobs play centerfold, toxic, and doesnt really matter on our SN machine more than "experienced" players whoring R4, sexy planet(nonstop megamix), and xepher until their dicks start bleeding.

Well, usually I tell them not to put their feet on the center. Usually, they don't listen, so I repeat my futile attempts every 30 seconds or so, with no results. After that, they either finish or fail a song, and ask me what the fuck I was talking about.
So, I usually explain visually.

OP, from another thread, wrote:
I own on heavy and can do up to a 9footer song.

I would rather watch someone on Beginner mode learn how to play then watch someone who can brag about just doing 9's play Heavy and "show off" even though it's not very impressive to see anyone clearing 9's nowadays.

That's just my $0.02.

If you guys saw someone doing a song like ... hmm... Seduction (expert) on 5x shuffle, and struggling to pass, and ends up getting a B on it, would that keep your attention?

You know I was once that n00b that was well, really bad.
That's when some Mexican came up and showed me up.
He wasn't ARROGANT.

I'd be careful; there's always a better player out there.
Think about it.

No, because that guy was obviously trying to show off and fail.

But how do you know he was a Mexican? I've never seen anyone play DDR in a sombrero and a poncho, so I'm wondering what the tip-off was.

I wasnt gonna post anything, but I saw that the OP has the name of a neopet in their username, and couldnt resist.

This has been said before, but its my point of view. Never laugh at someone for sucking at a dancing game...there is almost always someone out there that can laugh at you.

Its great cause this sort of thing always happens at the arcade I work at, and if theyre taking it to the point that I can see whats going on 30 feet away while being behind a counter, I become the jackass everyone always tries to be and go on break early. I really shouldnt do that though, I'm horrible at DDR.

I'm really glad I'm not super cocky like that anymore. Looking back, I think I pissed off a lot of people. In fact, I'm surprised anyone was actually willing to put up with me.

What does that have to do with what the OP said?

"even" in particular.

The only time I don't mind watching noobs play is when they play a song or two and then walk away from the machine, allowing me to get the rest of their songs.
Otherwise I hate it, it's really boring.

because i have AAA'd konoko twice. and if someone hasn't AAA'd it they are wasting my, and other professional player's time even attempting to play ddr.

That's how you measure ability? So someone could have AAA'ed everything except that, but, because they didn't AAA that particular song, they are wasting yours and others time playing DDR.

And let's completely ignore things like oni courses, 7 option, and games like In The Groove that have marathon courses, survival, 13 footers and all that jazz.

People probably fit you into a box too - Have you ever AAAed anything with 7 options? To underline what this means to the inquisitive, 7 options includes all of the following:

any relatively difficult speed option (1.5x or 2x usually are excluded), boost, hidden/sudden, shuffle, flat, dark, and reverse.

Although you can pretty much negate most options if you can do something like this: 1x hidden shuffle, or 3x sudden shuffle.

----

Now, take Konoko, and put it on 3x sudden shuffle or 1x hidden shuffle. If you AAA it, let me know. Otherwise, AAAing it normally isn't impressive.

When is it not showing off?

When the player is like "You know what? I'm just gonna futz around and pick random modifiers. I don't care if I fail, you guys can go on."

Also, 7 optioning and AAAing deserves cookies.
