Hey everyone, I know its another new guy, crap! Lock the doors! Well I saw this site around the time DDR Hottest Party came out and said I HAD to register here. Well I finally I got the game and here I am. This is actually the first DDR game I have owned. I used to play in the arcade and at my friend's house before. Just started on Difficult mode after doing pretty well on Basic for awhile. So I'm having a difficult time XD.

So where is my welcoming cake? ;o

Oh dear. How did I miss that topic ._.

Looks like I made a bad first impression eh? I doubt this place is that bad. I like how the people in the New York section act already.

Oh believe me, it can get pretty bad. DDRFreak has a tendency to be kind of clique-ish, and a good chunk of people on here are pretty elitist on top of that.

Other than that, it's all right, I guess.

As long as you're not an idiot, you'll like it here. Seriously.

Welcome. E13.gif

if you ever go to random chat you must make sure your shit is pencil-straight and factual or the flames will burn you alive.

New York/North Jersey is like it's own autonomous DDR nation, and same could be said for a lot of other regions.

You'll probably fit in quite nicely on the Console boards and the other general boards, but if you get hardcore into it, or look into playing competitively and meeting people at tournaments (whether you're just playing or watching), feel free to dabble in the Regional boards.

Enjoy your stay. E1.gif

Julie, I prolly saw you at 8otb once.

But yea, she's right - dabble in the regional stuff. If you know you are headed into NJ, just post somethin' up about going, and people will point you to the (good) arcades.

If you end up in southern NJ - hit me up.

Thanks for the responses guys E1.gif. I've been viewing the Random Chit-Chat board alot and a little of the DDR gameplay boards. Was trying to learn all the abbrvations like PA and the like. Found that in a DDR glossary here biggrin.gif. Interesting topics very very interesting.

I'll be sure when I get alot better in DDR to hit you guys up when I'm in your area. At the moment I'm doing 6 footer on difficult level which was better than last months three to four footers on basic level.

I used to be a regular there. I go there for every major tournament even though I'm in MA now.

I also used to play in Neshaminy, PA a while back, and I know a few of the Philly/South Jersey ITG players from back then. E1.gif

And for the record:
The background from Polovisitian Dances and Chorus is from a Japanese-only RPG called "Oz"
Stepmania > FFR
The blueshark and the cobalt flux are the two top ddr pads.

These are the answers to questions you might be asking later.

This is true. Thank you for taking the time to not be an idiot. That really helps. E1.gif

Oh man! I was wondering what that background video was. I knew it was a game, I had no idea which one... thanks for that. E4.gif

@Fred: I'll keep all that in mind thanks. E10.gif
Hmm I really should go get stepmania I'll probably download it later on tonight.

Well I mainly read the Random Chit-Chat board. As stated before, I hate posting without knowing that much on the subject. Good thing I read the glossary instead of posting. Didn't want to make another mistake like not posting in the introductions thread. Then again I wouldn't be able to meet you cool peeps.
