I'm getting my 2" ed today! I got them to swap it out with the 3" w/ bar I originally ordered since it looks like they won't have stock for a long time. I'm wondering if it'll be possible to buy the bar they sell and just bolt it on.
If anyone's done it, please post any probs you had doing it or surprises that might await. |

I was thinking of getting the 2" instead of the 3" w/bar. But I need to know how good they are. And how to order the pad. Any advice? |

They're so heavy i'd say you don't have to worry about it sliding around, if that's what you're wondering. _________________

Man, if they sell a bar separately, that would make life a bit easier for me for sure. I'm checking the site now.
...HOSNAP they do! But they don't have an image available... can anyone tell me how they look? Are they just like the ones on the pads w/bars? And can anyone give a basic rundown on how easy/hard it is to put it on the pad? |

[Not to flame DDRUniverse but...]
Well, much to my dismay I received my two TX2000's this morning. After finding them beaten lying against my garage after going out to breakfast I shrugged off their outward appearance and brought them into my basement where they would hopefully spend a long and happy lifetime. Sadly this would not be the case. Upon opening both pads I was greeted by many dents and nicks across their shiny metal surface and a crack or six in the buttons. Damage that was surely done prior to packing. I also painfully realized how sharp the bad welding job was on the back "bar holder" portion of the pad. The buttons have odd gaps between them causing the pad to look uneven. I was at this point unsurprised to find the mark of what must have surely been a hammer dropped from the third floor of a building upon my glimmering metal pad. I'm not sure if anyone else has run into any of these issues with TX-2000's but they seem very poorly made for the pricetag.
Now that I've been forced to argue profusely with the customer service department via email (due to their lack of phone number) I will hopefully be receiving either a brand new set of TX-2000's OR shelling out and buying myself two 2" bluesharks (I'm tired of waiting for the 3" w/bar to return).
After that long rant that needed venting to this fine community, the question:
Are 2" Blueshark pads better in many ways than TX2000's and how, and are Bluesharks assembled with care and talent, or slapdash by some homeless stoner with a hammer?
As always, thank you for your time. Cheers.
EDIT:: Also, are Nexens better than 2" Bluesharks? and why? |

bluesharks are much better than tx(any number).
they are wired well, packaged well(mine had a good # of inches of styrophoam betweent the pad and box), and made well. _________________

Or Mexico if they ship there. Or have a Californian get one for you and ship it to Panama. There are a few possibilities, but all of them are a pain. I'd just make one or have someone near you make one. _________________

$650 just for the shipping, or for the pad + shipping?
If it's $650 just for the shipping, that's $1000 total. If you're gonna shell out $1000, get an arcade pad of ChannelBeat or something.
An EMS USB2 gun adaptor is the favourite. Check the stepmania site for a more complete list of good adaptors though. _________________

Hey guys, I have two questions about the Blueshark.
1) What's the best adapter to use the pad on a PC? I've heard Trio Linker Plus, is that the general consensus? What's a good place to get that and what's a decent price for it?
2) Where the heck can you buy a Blueshark? Mymybox seems to be out of stock on them until 2/20. Are there other stores online where they can be bought? I want to make sure I get the 2007 edition with its swanky upgrades and everything. |

Don't get one from anywhere but MyMyBox or someone you trust. From MyMyBox, you have a warranty, and BlueSharks, while great pads, aren't very consistent. I'd strongly advise you wait it out; in the mean time, get yourself a softpad and mod it; it'll make a good backup for if you have a friend over or your BlueShark has to be repaired or something.
I can't help with the adaptor. Different adaptors work differently for different pads, and I haven't used a BlueShark OR a Trio Linker Plus to date. _________________
