I'm still surprised that Konami wouldn't sue Harmonix for the making of Guitar Hero, not to mention the other hit ROCK BAND! Especially when you have the other Rock Band THE RAMONES suing Harmonix for copyright infringement of their song. Now that is a Total Trip! Please Reply, Over! Thanks!...

wait a second.
i dont recall activision owning red octane at the time of guitar hero 1's release, so what the hell are they talking about? i think they meant..
"we saw what the they did with guitar hero 1, and we said "we want money, make a better game and make us money, we own you now".

Why would they though? From what I was told, Konami actually would rather avoid lawsuits, especially with GH. Why ruin a good thing? GH is obviously popular and has their own fan base, GF has their own fan base, and they're by and large pretty separate from each other (from what I've seen anyhow...I mean, you have some elitest GF fans who hate GH because it's either overhyped or they think the players are annoying, and you have GH players who love trolling the piss out of GF and calling all the players weeaboos). Besides, it's like Street Fighter : why sue someone because they took your idea and just made their own version of the game? It's not infringing on copyrights, and Harmonix never claimed it was their own idea to begin with.
