Will there ever be another remix of MAX 300? I for one am upset at the end of it all, the end of a series of songs thats almost legendary for stumping players around the world. The possibility for more songs in the line of Max are unlimited. I miss seeing red songs in the song wheel with instantly recognizable melodies from Max fame. How does everyone lese feel about this? _________________

Anyways we haven't heard that famous "DA DUH" sound since SuperNOVA 1 arcade except in a PARANOiA remix, and I'd hate to have the song only live on in samples in PARANOiA. Correct me if I'm wrong, but every arcade cabinet since MAX 300 debuted had a remix of it until SuperNOVA 2. _________________

I don't think all faith is lost for the Maxes. Maybe wait until SUPERNOVA3? _________________

Red songs prevail to this day, but with the onset of Fascination MAXX, you may have to throw recognizable MAX melodies out the window. The MAX series seems to be clearly going for the more subtle similarites (intense speed techno, diversionary mid-section, etc) to make each song connect to each other.

The MAX series isn't going anywhere. SuperNOVA2 seems more than anything to be a stage devoted for Konami to try things new with the DDR series. Perhaps similarly to how DDRMAX was. Expect to see the next MAX song in the next DDR mix (assuming SN2 isn't the last of the DDR series).
For one thing, we can't say that the supposed "boss families", with new songs that emerge in every succeeding major arcade mix, NEED to show up in every mix anyhow. There have have been "revivals", you know. In fact, the MAX series is the only one that hasn't had any among the three major boss families: TRIP MACHINE, PARANOiA, and MAX.
-TRIP MACHINE: 1st revival was between 2nd Mix and 4th Mix. 2nd revival was between 5th Mix and EXTREME. 3rd revival was between EXTREME and SuperNOVA2.
-PARANOiA: 1st revival was between 5th Mix and EXTREME. 2nd revival was between EXTREME and SuperNOVA2 (This second one is arguable for PARANOiA, though, because although PARANOiA ~Respect~ for SuperNOVA was new for arcade, it wasn't a new song established by a new arcade release like other songs in the so-called "boss families").
-MAX: None.
Unlike the other two, the MAX series has yet to experience a single revival since conception (and I think we were all convinced that TRIP MACHINE was definately a dead series), so there isn't much reason why we may not see one in the future, and it's likely that it will have a revival-based subname, as well, like PhoeniX and survivor did for TRIP MACHINE revivals, for example.
Also an interesting thing to point out is if you dig through Hottest Party's song rights, you'll find that the alias of Pluto The First's composer (not to be confused with the song artist name, which would be White Wall) is "NM MAX unlimited". While it's obviously Naoki, the MaxX Unlimited inspiration behind the alias at least shows that he hasn't forgotton the MAX series in general.

Exactly. Besides, I think a lot of us were convinced that TRIP MACHINE was a dead series until TRIP MACHINE PhoeniX came around. _________________
