The connection with The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a coincidence.
I've never read it or seen the movie =[ |

Don't watch the movie, read the books. It's better for you mentally, and culturally.
But enough off topic. |

Hi, I am a potential DDR game player. I have just lost 51 lbs over the course of a year, and I am interested in adding fun exercise to my life. I have been looking up DDR as an option. I don't have a ps2, and I am old (33) and I haven't played a video game since pacman.
Please tell me what I should buy! I am checking into used ps2's on ebay. Which game versions are best for beginners?
Thanks!!!! |

For PS2, you should probably get Supernova, or Extreme.
Or you could by a pad compatible with USB such as the Red Octane Ignition or Afterburner and play pad packs as well as DDR sims on Stepmania from your PC. There's also In the Groove for PC, but you'll have to look on Ebay if you wanted to buy a copy, since they don't make ITG anymore =[.
It's all pretty much up to you. _________________

Hey hey hey. New kid. Woo!
I'm not all that new. I've played DDR for over seven years, but I'm just new to the forums. I started a new job working the night shift for IBM and I've been getting bored. So.... Here I am. Yay. Go me. *Waves a little flag* I'm also a fan of IIDX and ParaPara.
Hmm... Yeah, that's about it. |

Well my Opinion for a first DDR game would be Extreme 2 if you can find it. It seems that DDR games from b4 seem to hiding or something. If you cant find it then max 2 will be good _________________

I just joined here. I am a 23-year-old male, 6'1" and 167 pounds. I own DDRMAX2 and Supernova, and sometimes play ITG at the arcade. I don't play much double, though.
Since the Supernova grading is dodgy I'll speak of MAX2 grades here: I can AA most songs up to 6 feet, some 7's and two 8's, both on MAX2. I've passed quite a few 9's, mostly on MAX2, a few with B's. I haven't passed any 10's yet, but I've made it to the pause on MaxX Unlimited as first stage. Some 8's have taken me several tries to pass, too. I have one AAA on a 4, but my PA actually gets worse below that. My best MA on Supernova is about 70%.
My record combo in any way, shape or form is 2,228, which I got on DDRMAX2 Endless Mode, Standard. I have a few 300+ combos on single songs. |

Hmm, nice. I haven't played seriously in like, 6 months, so I'm probably well below your level according to MAX2 standards. _________________

Hi everyone! I'm a 27 years old German girl, living in Boston, MA for the next three months.
I have been playing DDR/ITG since 2001 but had to pause for 2 years because of an injury. I also play IIDX a lot - well usually, don't have my PS2 with me here. At home I also played PIU sometimes because there's a machine in my home city, but I do not like the songs.
I'd like to find some other players from the Boston area, so feel free to say hello or drop a pm. |

Well, this is a little late but im egg1111115, but my real name's Jason but probably no one will call me that. I'm 15 and im turning 16 in november, which is perty cool i guess. i first played ddr last march, but i hated it so i didn't start really playing until like last january, and now i can do most heavy songs including a few 10-footers.
oh, and if anyone asks about my name, it's a kind of long story. i originally was egg15 a few years ago on some other sites, and i wanted to make it my aim screen name. oddly enough, that was taken, so i got really PO'd and put a bunch of ones, and it stuck
the egg part is another story altogether lol _________________
