So when I first passed Monolith Expert it was on an r21 machine. I remember thinking that it seemed different than when I sightread it almost a year before. I thought nothing of it until recently when I saw this video:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=H-1ZfhhWsu0
That was the original Monolith Expert chart. It's mostly the same except for, if not only, the hands. From what I remember the original was a bit more tricky than the updated chart.
My question is, exactly WHEN was the chart revision made? Was it r21 or r16 or earlier? _________________

Ah, that's quite awhile back. I remember playing it and the timing wasn't THAT bad (and i've heard it was pretty bad on all versions before r16).
Any other chart revisions? I remember hearing Euphoria Hard had a revised chart for ITG PC, but I don't know if it was revised for ITG 2 also.
It would be interesting for GS to add these charts to their database (with the specified version of course). It would be a neat little challenge to get these ****'d (although half of the challenge would be able to find a version with the chart lol). _________________

I'd say most of the Hard charts in ITG PC are different than ITG2. Most came out better, but some are just god-awful (Infection comes to mind). _________________

The Infection chart isn't even similar to the arcade chart at all. |

O.o really? I've only seen one infection chart (on hard)! It's on the home version, and i think the arcade one is the same (i think i've seen someone else play it)....is there a vid/sim of the other chart available? _________________

Yeah, the ITGPS2 chart is the same on Hard. There's a different, bloody awful Hard chart for Infection on ITGPC (In fact, it was the ITGPC chart that gave my original reaction of "Such a thing exists?" when I saw the "Best of Phreqwenci" folder on my nearest hacked cab).
I should probably qualify this. The first 3 quarters or so of the chart is fine, arguably even better than the arcade version. The last quarter of it, on the other hand...ye Gods. LURLURLURLURLUR. I'm not kidding. _________________

Its a spin gimmick. They are forcing you to spin around in an awkward way. |

XD lol, no, i don't really play 8 footers anymore....but every now and then, i attempt to get quads on hard (failing every time =(...), infection isn't that hard to FA, so that is one song i try! _________________

Are you saying that [Phrekwenci...which I spelled wrong in my previous post. Oops.] is the one responsible for [ITGPC Infection Hard]?? |
I am indeed. He also did the revised Clockwork Genesis Hard chart for ITGPC, and maybe some others. _________________
