No, that's never been mentioned before except for very rare circumstances. CF doesn't screw up much, save for the Winter fiasco.
Uhh... it sounds like a Control Box issue, if they're both registering just not at the same time. Are you hooking this up to your computer? Or are you just using your PS2? _________________

I know this has probably been mentioned before, but um... the sensitivity sucks! The pad cant register left and right arrow together at the same time when pressed. I know that theres alotta foam involved....Could it possibly be the foam that caused the in sensitivity?? (foam falling into the mat compartment) ???
Or do i keep on dancing on it to warm it up to get the sensitivity working?? |
My mat works okay, but I'll probably be removing the arcade mod, as it's harder for me to stay close to the center with it. However, I don't know what you're talking about with this foam thing. There isn't any foam in CF pads. Yes, the pad usually gets more sensitive after it's been broken in, but there's no reason you shouldn't be able to push left and right at the same time. Have you tried loosening the screws? You have to tighten or untighten the screws to get it just right. |

I think he means the styrofoam the CF ships with.
As for the screws... I don't think that's the problem at all. Judging by his description of the problem, both the left arrow and the right arrow /work/, just not together. This has gotta be a control box fault. _________________

I finally got my pad (haven't touched it myself yet, but my friend did)
Ordered on June 20th
Shipped on August 14th
Received on August 22nd
My friend also used his printer USB cable to hook up his Mac to the pad, but it does not work. He's yet to try it with Windows. Anyone having the same problem? (Or is there some kind of special program I have to download to make it work with Stepmania) |

The only driver given out by CF is a Windows driver. Maybe you could check the net though. What you should be looking for is a Mac driver that allows Xbox 360 controllers to be used on the PC. _________________

one of which can be found at http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/29122
I have no idea if others exist. I just googled because I was curious to see if someone had gotten 360 controllers working with macs yet. |

Thanks for the replies. The 360 Driver at versiontracker.com doesn't work, so I'll be searching for other drivers that might just work. |

nope mine says payment recieved i sent them money order XD i think "pending approval" means you used a credit card and their making sure the transaction from your credit card goes well something like that. If ur still in doubt i can ask my friend that ordered a week after me (he used a credit card), if he has the samething under PAYMENT |

If you can, that would be great.
I wouldn't mind it so much, but the problem is that directly after ordering my Flux the card I used expired... so we had to call them up and get the card # changed. I just want to make sure they did in fact change it. _________________

No idea. For agent, it was a full day from what I saw.
I will post as soon as mine ships, that way if yours hasn't you know that something is wrong. _________________

Well, i played a little bit with my CF today. All the arrows work individually. But......STILL! the same problem.... when i press two arrows of the opposite direction of each other (eg, up and down or left and right) at the same time, nothing registers.
However, if i press any other 2 combination they work. (Left and up, left and down....etc etc).
I assigned the top left and right corner to left and right arrow. Somehow, doing it this way, i can press the left and right arrow at the same time.
What should i do? return the control boxes? I bought a double pack, and both control boxes give me the same issue. Waited 2 months for this ...only to receive it not in perfect working condition.
Im plugging it though my laptop to play Stepmania. Haven't tried hooking it up to the PS2 yet....dont know if it will even make a difference since the PS2 cord is coming outta the same control box. |

I wouldn't go blaming CF just yet.
So my question to you is this -- are you using a PS2 to PC converter? If so, that would be your problem.
Explanation of why up+left and such work but not left+right: The PS2 converter sees the Cobalt Flux as if the arrows were the Directional Pad on a PS2. Now, think of what a PS2 D-Pad looks like. If you were to use it, you can aim up+left and down+right etc. with it, right? But the two things you cannot do are up+down and left+right. Seeing as how it was impossible, your adapter's creators decided to not wire that in. So all aiming configs work EXCEPT up+down and left+right. That's the adapter's fault. The X and O buttons (upperleft and upperright on the Flux) work because you can press them simultaneously on a standard PS2 controller.
To confirm my suspicions, connect it to a PS2 and play. If it works, we know the problem. _________________

You'll have to email them if you even want to keep up to date with your shipping status. It actually took them about 3 days after they gave me the code before UPS picked up my mat. Your page will be updated to Awaiting Shipment, but most likely not updated again after that, so make sure to email for a code, or you could be sitting on your computer looking at an Awaiting Shipment thing and then UPS is knocking on your door without you knowing the mat had even been shipped. |

Wait... you got your email on the 14th, yet you said in one of your posts it shipped the night of the 15th.
Hehe. I emailed them yesterday about it. No response yet, and they never even emailed me back on the USB question from a week ago. >_> _________________
